Hello everybody!
I'm moving the v.0.17 release date from this Sunday to the Sunday after (the 22nd) for Day 1 Early Access, and then the other tiers will follow as usual, this weekend's release will be only for the Alpha Testing Team.
The reason for this is to allow a week with the update of proper testing prior to going to Early Access tiers. The Alpha Testers are volunteers who do a great job of QA for me (when I give them time to do it), and I'm going to be rendering still all the way until the weekend so rather than after nearly a year of waiting release something potentially buggy and save-breaking and infuriating, I'm going to slightly delay the general release and give the testers the chance to go over it and then fix any issues should they arise.
This is the first time I'm going to be updating the whole story in one update for a long time, and there's a lot of paths to re-join, and I'm also updating the game's engine which creates an opportunity for a huge number of issues with old saves and playthroughs.
I've had a lot of issues this year with Mac not loading the game, and it's not something I can really do anything about as I don't make the engine, I just make the game inside it, so I'm hoping amongst other things updating the game's engine from the version it's on will resolve this.
This shouldn't affect saves at all, but if it does this period will give me a chance to fix it and find a way to stop that happening.
The new date will still ensure the update is released to all the tiers within this month's billing cycle, so nobody who has pledged for it this month will miss out or be charged anymore.
