Open your browser in incognito first, then drag the DoL html file onto your incognito window. Not sure if that's the most efficient way, but it's what I do.

This will occur even if Sydney is not at the temple at the time of the player's chastity exam, as they'll be summoned in order to be purified.

how do i break the promise? just getting vaginally penetrated? by anyone other then Sydney(if male) do dildos/strap ons count?

It doesn't count to upsetting Briar unless you ask for money, so you're free to keep seducing people on that angle. You would also get a warning before something wrong happened I'm pretty sure. So I'm not exactly certain if that was what was being referred to.
