Also kinda disappointed with the tutorial. Went through all of it just for it to glitch at the end at the printing facility entrance with the door being shut and no way to open it.
There's a computer in the large hall right next to it.
You can hack it from there.

And the people complaining about stupid AI
If you play on "I'll find my own way" difficulty (or how it's called), they found me while hacking there twice and killed me as soon as I left the hall.

Finally had time to play the game for real, outside of validating crack by "get out of hideout, jump into a pool of tentacles, wait if something breaks besides character orifices". :HideThePain:

Tutorial is probably the first thing in this game's history that made it actually feel like a real game. IMO before it always felt like a sandbox where more maps, cyberware and shit were thrown into. But dev won't be dev if he didn' try to fuck it up a lot.

First, why the hell tutorial tries to make the player very uncomfortable? I understand this game tries to be "porn Tarkov", but what the hell with that red lighting on the level? Mix that with tons of dark places and I literally dropped it when entering lab underground. I did play City map before and it wasn't as unsettling as this shit.

Second, making NPCs extremely stupid is probably good, but dev made them literally retarded. Even if you wanted to delay shooting when enemy notices you, make it natural - bots literally stall for 30 seconds looking at you. I dunno, add some voice lines like "who are you, drop your weapons, this is the last warning" etc.

I remember at the start of this project dev stated he had prior game development experience. Probably that's true. But to develop a good game you have to be not only a good developer - you should also play lot's of other games too. To do something right you need examples to learn on other's mistakes and wins.

The game does have a horror aspect and i hope the dev does not push too far into that which it seems like he wants to. The lighting and such makes for good ambience, the game wouldn't be the same if lighting was cartooney, bright af with vibrant colors, but the game is a bit unsettling which is probably what the dev wanted. For an NSFW game though, he should be careful to not push this too much.

Idk about the "It's a real game now with this linear tutorial". Not every game should be a linear story experience. I have despised every single 3d porn game that tries to do this so i would hate this one singular unique experience to turn into the same shit. Though chances are slim, it feels more like the dev just wants to introduce story lines with npcs in the open world (Which is still annoying when you have to complete their stories for the 40 thousandth time),

so i really am okay with an open world semi-sandbox where content gets pushed into, that's what the game always was the problem is that the content is often just a map which is probably 50% of the content update and then other small stuff (Or big like the cyberwares, except that more than half of them are still in development and thus don't work....)

I don't mind it to be gory horror. But if you do a tutorial you at least have to make sure player actually can see what you are trying to show. I don't remember any game that starts tutorial like this. Heck, it would be much better if dev added a companion, if only as a voice over comms, and start it like "hey rookie, this is your first real mission, but I will remind you in case you forgot something, bla bla bla.....". And then you can write sandbox into plot, like something goes wrong, you loose all connection to your team (lore justification of Coprorate uniform?) and need to survive from scratch.

Really? I checked the hall and saw nothing.. And why would you even need to hack open a fence anyway? Eh whatever maybe I'll replay the tutorial in like god mode or something and rush to the end.

check the radar like object i think there is only one object inside the hall, go near it and look down a hack menu will appear which u need to hack it thankfully it doesnt need hacking tools... only health is drain if u fail the advance hack...i suggest u give yourself hacking cyber enhancements to prolong the hack timer... or u might be spending hrs trying to hack it what a time sink...

Yeah I found it. Could've sworn I went up to it last time and there was no prompt but maybe I just missed it.

That's why I inda feel torn abuot this new map.

It feels quite alright, as some sort of "stealh-metal-gear-solid-style" missio...
And it is of decent quality...

But it totally missed the entire point of being a tutorial.

Just kinda imagine THIS as your very first entry into this game?
I'd instantly would request a refund.

TBH I'm quite sure that this tutorial was not meant to be a tutorial, but pushed to being one. This is just story introduction, and tutorial is squished here, and it is not perfect both as a tutorial and story mission ( I died 3 times after falling to the water, couse I did not knew where to go ). It is trying to show game aspects that are not/ are not explained in hideout, and in this way it's doing okay-ish job. But if to consider that this is his first take at story more linear mission, it's good, nothing to fancy, but way better than PH quests that we had before. Yeah, some more text explaning or as you said comms companion would be welcome, but as I said, it's not bad tbh, and one man team can justify quite a lot.

Yeah, I agree here.
I was just a bit pissed off, cause I totally suck on "real FPS games" (I don't consider FO4 as an FPS game)
And if this mission would be my very first impression of this game, it'll be a hard pass.

On higher difficulty, you can easily get cock-blocked, cause the enemies will steal all your stuff AND stealth is a frecking challenge.

(I had to turn down difficulty to easy, to pass... What a looser am I?)

But as a "Stand-alone-mission-map" I really enjoyed it.
