Get used to it. Patreon did it first, and it'll stay that way basically forever unless some politician in the EU hates it and does something. This may just be a beta demo. Still, charging a monthly subscription? For a demo? Doesn't make sense to me.
People don't like paying for an unfinished product every month because it's not clear how it will all end. During the time this game or others are in development, an amount equal to the cost of several AAA games can accumulate. The correct system is implemented in Steam - you pay only once for a game in early access.I mean yeah that's already how Patreon works, it's not too absurd to extend that to demo access. If you don't like it, wait for the full release or use the crack like the rest of us.
It's just DRM, nothing new.
Bruh, that game has one of THE most counter-intuitive control setups I've ever seen. It's like the dev wentWhat else is out there? Project Extermination?
Not defending the dev here, since I too think it's a scam for what has been done so far, but people forget devs also need to pay rent, buy food, you know, pay to being able to continue to exist in pretty much anywhere in the planet. On bigger projects, there's also resource allocation, so you have to pay other people to do what you want how you want it done. And so on...Keep in mind we're fundamentally not supposed to be able to play it. While I too wish DRM would go fuck right off, I also do not blame him for implementing it. That being said, I will play it anyway because I'm a dirty pirate.
There is tons of extremely annoying decisions in this demo so far, the controls, UI, gigantic maps first instead of systems and gameplays implementation first. It's a clusterfuck of good ideas thrown togheter with spit and duct tape.Bruh, that game has one of THE most counter-intuitive control setups I've ever seen. It's like the dev went
"Hm, there are control schemes that have been in use for decades now and EVERYONE uses it. But why the hell should i too? Fuck em, I'll just make the most messed up, confusing and irrational mess of controls I can, see how they like it!"
If you are playing 0.19, you're not 'supposed' to go anywhere, there aren't any goals yet.So, after finally figuring out what I was doing wrong with the installation, I was able to play this game. I also got User ID is corrupted and it's because the Pre-Cracked version is already cracked. I figured that because there's a link to download the crack that the "Pre" part of Pre-Cracked meant that it was "before cracking" not "already cracked" but oh well.
Now, I suck at FPS games and not used to using keyboard and mouse, so after having enough of a difficult time, I lowered the difficulty and activated a few cheats.
My question though is, where am I supposed to go? I talked to the trader and then met and talked to the virtual girl. I went from the Highway to the City Outskirts then to the City where I wandered for a few hours. Then I went to the other exit to City Outskirts, followed by the other exit to the Highway. Went onto the Hoverbike, fell through the ground in a hilarious way, then went to the Swamp. Am I missing something?
Thank you, that helps because it definitely is 0.19.If you are playing 0.19, you're not 'supposed' to go anywhere, there aren't any goals yet.
With 0.20, they added quests.
Don't stare too long into the Abyss, my friend, you know why...trying to look whats inside
Word. I tried the game last year, quickly dropped it. Big world, but basically empty, lots of features still WIP, can't remember whether the Quad still had no textures back then or just got them, but that was lame. Just one type of enemy with iirc 1 animation. Stupid UI. Shit controls, etc. The idea is good, but the realization is like he just randomly works on stuff as he feels like it, then gives up before it's finished and then goes to fuck around with other stuff. There is tons of extremely annoying decisions in this demo so far, the controls,
That's the feeling I have too. Hard to say tho....the realization is like he just randomly works on stuff as he feels like it, then gives up before it's finished and then goes to fuck around with other stuff.
Well for non-porn, usually its:Not defending the dev here, since I too think it's a scam for what has been done so far, but people forget devs also need to pay rent, buy food, you know, pay to being able to continue to exist in pretty much anywhere in the planet. Now, what would allow it to go on for extended periods of time? A one-time purchase, or a subscription?
Exactly... it's sadly how the world works today. You don't make products anymore, you make services based heavily around hopes, dreams and lots and lots of lies and excuses.

This one issue of controls is also so fucking easy to solve, let the user fucking rebind keys. There's tons of guides, tutorials, and free examples on how to do it in ANY Unreal Engine version.
Maybe it'll be done later, maybe not, who knows.
have to work on the other hole to make it worth looking.Don't forget the other hole
And lobby groups. Harley Davidson had to be rescued by the gov how many times now? 5? 10?It's not supply and demand that define the market, but brand, reputation, and hype.
I mean, we used to get official releases - they were just delayed. Devolution got tired of update after update people were making cracks to get the current paid update before it was made public, so I guess they just kind of got rid of the public updates.Keep in mind we're fundamentally not supposed to be able to play it.
