How did you know that the developers are from Russia? I actually thought that they were from Ukraine or Poland.
They had page on Busty. Russian payment-subscription platform. I dont think polish or ukranians (from begining of war) are use that platform. (i`m ukranian myself and well, thats why i stopped supporting them)
(But i think they currently not in Russia now, patreon bans payments to Russia and one of main theme of game actually - emigrants).

Please leave the propaganda crap out.
The only reason they will never finish the game (just as any other Patreon developer) is this:

A day 1 average supporter already payed 300 Eu for this demo.

The problem is different. Instead of making the game as quest-adventure with that same 7-day story layout, they decided to do additional sandbox mode with litterally everything that can be implemented in it(in their dreams), with the team of 2,5 people.

With such plans, the developers' grandchildren in old age will release it.

There no propaganda, but if you think thats income are enough for UE game - thats no
36 (3 yrs) x 9000 USD = no more than 400 000 USD. And with team of 5(?) people, They jumps over their head.Thats what i wrote (as i remember similar problem with other russian (non adult) game - The Day Before, also there was other games like that. I have no offense to those developers, just precautions thats as Hlamster wrote made promises which they cant fulfill due to shortage of resources)
Also i researched awhile, there not so many finished eroge on UE, especially on UE5

It's ok, didn't mean to be rude.
The problem with these no-pro developers is that they make a project without a clear vision. They start with the idea of a 4 floors building, than when they see the money coming in, they try to add levels, as Hlamster properly pointed out, untill the structure collapses.
The worst part is that it's the very Patreon mechanism to favour that.
The list of unfinished games on this forum is so long, it would take me less time to walk to your home and offer you a dish of pasta :p than to name them all. (for me, the ubeatable no.1 example is Wildlife: 14 years! going back and forth).

If the supporting platforms limited the contribution to say.. 1 year, I guess we'd see many more results (not necessarely good), but it's not their interest either.

No, they in the begining wrote that their game inspired by Skirim (an AAA RPG from big studio). So they planned big game with not only Home from begining. Thats level of game building are issue of Indie development of big game, when they try to got resources for game during development without investor.

honestly I think these kind of games are a scam. Everyone can see that half and never finished games can milk subs for many many years. They see this, work on a game for like 3 months and then in hopes, ride it out for many years never having to do much of anything. These kind of things need to have an optional obligated scheduled progress, like that in the industry, on those sites and if they fail then something happens to the money but those sites also benefit from scams so here we are. I only say optional because then at least you know they are probably scammers and you know what to expect.

Having worked in this engine, this game's definitely got more than 3 months of work in it.

I agree development is glacially slow, though.

From the dev logs and demo vids they have uploaded, seems they are actually very far ahead. It's easy to find the road-map from their itch page.
The road-map shows as 0.3 being completed, which is "Day 3 prologue - survival mechanics" and both are implemented, the food, drink, arousal, pee, etc are there and it ends on day 3.
From their Patreon posts, they are on v0.7 and finished the 7 day prologue and tweaking plus adding new mechanics. That's just 2 weeks ago, so if posts and images are anything to go by, it's quite far along with it's story elements of the prologue and after a bit would transfer to become the gameplay loop that's less pre-deterministic.

Now, why are they not releasing it? Maybe because steam release is less than a year away given they are at v0.7 after 9 months from the thread creation date. So they are probably only testing in a very closed group, or by themselves (hopefully not just them).

please, read the posts more carefully.
what you're talking about are just devlogs with deeper explanation of each roadmap's milestone, so you have a clearer undertanding of what we're aiming to achieve with each future major update.
we haven't released 0.7 yet - neither publically nor internally.

but we've already started partially implementing some character customization, privacy system and radial menu mechanics.

it's just the pain-in-the-neck npc system that's holding us back

I've played a lot of similar games since I found this one, and I've noticed a major difference - this game isn't just about raising some main "lewdness" stat to progress in a straight line.

This game lets you progress just by sitting on the couch and waiting for days to pass. And when you get up, it gives you a rich set of stats to play with. There's no single "winning combination" to move forward, no correct path. Every combination of choices opens some routes and closes others, which makes it incredibly replayable. It all feels very organic. You can't be smart and dumb at the same time - and being smart doesn't mean you're weak. If you're dumb and everyone takes advantage of you for lewd stuff, it doesn't mean you're lewd - you're just dumb. The game really lets you see gradual changes in the character's personality and how the world reacts to those changes. That's super cool.

Honestly, I'd totally be on board if they made the whole game just a 7-day prologue - but more complex and polished - and launched a new Patreon project to build a full RPG out of it. There are already some worrying signs - that the devs are getting tired, that they’re starting to lose motivation, and that they're losing money because of disappointed subscribers on Patreon and other platforms. It would be a real shame if such a great project were to fall apart. Maybe it's time to lower the bar to a more realistic level and release version 1.0 with just the prologue.

I don't know where you saw that they were "losing money because of disappointed subscribers". From graphteon, they had an income growth in September 2024 and it has been mostly stable since that date. Which seems pretty positive considering a good chunk of people tends to only (re)subscribe when a new update is dropped.

Nothing new since September 2024? Maybe it's time to set it as "Abandoned"?
No, there is no reason for the "abandoned" status, since the developers are still in touch and regularly share news about the development process. And by the way, their latest news is dedicated to the topic of why there have been no updates for so long.

Okay, could you share those news with me? I'm curious tbh
