I believe I've now figured out the issue regarding the "failed to load" error a couple of people had.

DO:​

• Apply the patch to v0.06 Public.

DO NOT:​

• Apply the patch to v0.06 Beta, or earlier versions of the game (such as v0.05.5).
• Apply the patch if you have modified the files, such as decryption.
• Apply the patch to the unofficial compressed version found on the thread. (Normally it'd work, but they modified the files beyond compression this time around.)

To be clear, we did not go out of our way to make the game break if any of the "do nots" were done. Although in the future, we'll attempt to make the patch work for the beta version as well.

Should you re-download the game because you don't have v0.06 Public to patch, do know that the links have been updated and said downloads are already v0.06a—just move your save folder over and you should be golden.

Yes.
It was a Brenda focused update, and Leslie gets something in every new release.

I would love to not have anyone need to do this in the first place, like I've just succeeded with when it comes to Linux, but I require a system with macOS for that.
We will likely invest in one in the future, but it's not currently first on the list of stuff we need for the team/game.

You have to place the books in each of those locations. There's a circle when you get there telling you where to place it.
