Going there would have directed you to the post about the minimum requirements for MZ:

OS: Microsoft Windows® 8.1/10 (64bit)​

Processor: Intel Core i3-4340 or better​

Memory: 8 GB RAM​

Graphics: Compatible OpenGL / VRAM 1GB or better​

Additional Notes: 1280x768 or better Display​

If you meet the minimum requirements and having this issue - make sure you have fully updated your OS, all drivers, video card, etc.

Even though you are on Windows - the Mac users, when confronted by the black screen, have reported that double-clicking on the black screen pops up a dialogue box about moving the game file. Maybe try double-clicking on the black screen will do something for Windows users, as well.

Please report back what the outcome is from your efforts - whether it works or not. That way it helps others in the future. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't had a problem with release 03 and I keep my machine updated. Double clicking on the black screen results in a single character showing in blue. Looks like a period, can't tell it's too small. What would be zipped in the release that the exe would be trying to expand?

Another is: Some graphic cards get problems with overlays if more than one output is active - as a result they can't (for example) place video in windowed mode on the secondary output. And the effect in windowed mode is the same - black window while the video plays. That is especially common with notebooks that have an external and internal monitor option. (

There's a save in slot #50. Just use it and play through the new content. Then you have a full save.

Wow, the criticism on the game is just . The game was leaked. The dev will hash out the bugs in the official public release. Some of the negative comments about the dev are just ludicrous from ppl who don't even follow the dev's work and just make some stupid general assumptions.

Have you coded Ren'Py, RPGM, Unity, Unreal? Do you have experience in any of them? Unity and Unreal are overkill for this kind of a game. This isn't a first-person shooter. It's not a synchronous 4v1. It's a "choose your own adventure" story with various locations that only require point and click interaction. Get in, tell the story, get out.

Preach. Both RPGM and Ren'Py are pretty much "no coding experience required" entry-level engines which allow hobbyist developers (which most of the developers of adult games here are) the ability to get into the market and share their art and stories at minimal investment in time and money.

I was going to say that 95% of all game play issues I find on this site are from user error or misunderstanding - but I could be off ... I'll say at least 80% are, though.
