Is this a "scenes upon your defeat" game? Or can you actually get the scenes while winning?

Technically speaking, getting "caught" isn't the end, it's a slow HP drain and you can enjoy it as long as you don't run out.

But actual extended scenes are exclusive to defeat, yes. You do unlock them all upon beating the game, mind you.

The sequel kinda zig-zags this: a separate meter was added to track your arousal. So unlike the first game, you can actually orgasm and survive in 2, since your HP isn't completely drained when you do so. However, you still need to escape or else it's over for you.
You can also surrender in some cases, and the scene that follows is portrayed in a more romantic tone (it's still game over though).
A handful of consensual optional scenes were added as well, but they feel more accidental than anything (E.g. "Oh, want to taste this drink I've got here? Oh hey, you just got really horny all of sudden, let me help you with that, no need to ask me what to do..."). And I don't believe you get anything out of them either besides getting to see a scene that would otherwise lead to a game over.

I feel this is actually to the sequel's story's detriment: towards the end, it tries to portray some of the Succubus as good (and I believe these are the same Succubus that turn men into a pile of bones by making them cum 10 times in a row, not some newly-introduced "safe" type), but it doesn't let you actually romance/buddy up with any of them, even in a really basic way, like, say, the way Reign of the Succubus does. So it feels very much like a missed opportunity to not let the player have consensual non-lethal sex with the "good" Succubus at that point, even if there's no purpose to it (tbh it'd be useful if there was a sex stat that built up every time you orgasmed with them to build up your resistance and make you last longer, helping you against the real threats. Thus, the ability to have sex consensually at the end could be used to make things easier for the player, particularly those that avoided "training" said sex stat up until then and were having trouble dealing with 2's endgame.).
The designated appeal of the games is about male characters getting dominated though, so I can see why it ultimately wasn't implemented.

It's a scenes upon defeat, but my question is why people care so much about that? I'm clueless!
This might be just a personal preference, but 'scene up on defeat' ("suod" in short from now on) kind of feels like its own genre for me. My reasoning: Most suod games contradict the purpose of the game itself. While your goal is e.g. to defeat all bosses to rescue a village, giving rewards based on suod-style feels like an anti-game to me, stretching the whole game story unnecessarily.

I know suod-style is more about the main character being dominated, but making 'defeat all enemies' the goal to complete the game doesn't align with 'being dominated by defeat'. These two are contradicting goals. So, to enjoy being dominated you sacrifice the game's goal. Or, when striving the game's goal, you sacrifice the enjoyment of being dominated. They both don't align, that's why I like to know if a game is suod-style or not.

Another similar common issue are VN games. I know of many RPGM games, which have tons of text. Maybe even more than traditional VN games. But they are never tagged/labled as VN or text-heavy.

I usually look through Reviews, but most reviews don't tell much about the game mechanics or how scenes are unlocked - like in this case. For me, such information are crucial for a game, and can completely change how the game genre feels like for the player. Even if it is made in RPGM engine, when there is tons of text, it is text-heavy and more of a VN game than an RPG game - or sometimes a mix.

But don't get me wrong, I am not complaining about the threads here. I am aware that these tags and descriptions lack such info from start, not even given on the original sites like dlsite or Steam etc. That's why I ask people here who played the games already, so, I can have a better picture of the type of game and decide, if I want to try or avoid it.

Actually 'scene up on defeat' is already known as GOR (Game Over Rape).

I got the second one. These games are amazing. Too many porn games these days tend to lean too heavily into the porn with barely any gameplay. These are great games that use pixel art and porn in a way that doesn't break up gameplay.

The trial version of the 3rd game (which is a prequel) has been released just recently. It focuses on magic, only features monster girls as enemies (so no more generic bats or spiders to deal with), and has a bunch of other new mechanics like the girls having a chance to "level up" if you cum for them (it basically turns them into a tougher variant).

Most notably, however, is that the girls can be left in a critical state in battle (where they stop attacking you and just stay in place) and you can bargain some consensual sex from them, which actually has a benefit to the player, as they can teach you spells if you satisfy them - and can survive the act, of course.

It's only 30~ minutes of gameplay, but I'm liking this change a lot, because it gives incentive to actually try to have sex with any monster girl that can be left in that state (bosses are off the table still, sadly). ...it's also just nice to be able to give them what they want without them going overboard and killing you in the process.

: (It's in the April 13 2024 article)
It's Japanese only, but it's playable from start to finish even if you don't understand a thing. Just remember that "W" on the keyboard is used for recharging your magic, otherwise the game feels impossible to beat.

1. Make sure you've extracted the zip/rar.
2. Make sure you have the RPG Maker VX Ace RTP installed.
3. Make sure the game folder isn't in gibberish (change it to something supported by your system language.)

I've played this and the sequel: the first game is a fairly short romp that lasts about 2 hours or so, while the sequel is roughly 10 times longer, with a strangely elaborate story too. This first game doesn't have many pictures, but it has a lot of sprite animations: the sequel makes up for this first game's lack of pictures while also having even more sprite animations too.

Both games have a gallery room with all scenes unlocked once you beat the game, so you can just focus on beating the game first if you want to see all the content later.
And while there's no point to having any sex in this game (or the sequel, technically), it takes a bit of practice to not get "caught", and as damage accrues, there's a serious risk of getting caught without the health left to "resist".

Also, despite being an RPGM game, all the action is in real-time. However, there's a bit of stiffness to the controls, and remembering what each button does takes some adjustment.

You're supposed to use the gun to deal with tough targets, but you have melee weapons too that you can use to save ammo on the small fry.

The creator is making a third game that uses magic instead of guns and with slightly more detailed sprites, so I'm looking forward to that. Unfortunately, it's still on VX, which he's aware of how flawed it is due to the small window size, but it'd take too long for him to redo all of his code/find new plugins to continue his work on the newer RPGM versions.

Only a few for some select bosses and some randoms (I think it's 5 with variants...).

The (yet to be translated) sequel has significantly more content, so check that out if you're interested. I believe it used multiple artists to cover the sheer amount of art needed to be done.

Personally, I think there's lot of value to all the sprite animations, even for the first game.
Hi, I have just a question about the last level in the queens castle.
I can only find 3 flowers (red, yellow, blue) and searched in every room for the others.
There must be 3 more flowers somewhere because there are six vases in that room at the top floor.

So maybe you "EyeoftheDark", who has played it through, or some other guy could help me here ^^

Are you referring to this? Because those are the only flowers you need as far as I remember. Screenshot 2024-07-13 112454.png
