Amazing game by the way, the ending did feel weird but from what I can tell that's already been mentioned to death so I'm gonna put a positive spin on it. I'm excited to see it be... well "salvaged" may be a harsh word but I think it's possible, not to mention the potential for more depravity but at the same time... they did talk a lot about trying to become a normal-ish family after that so maybe not so much depravity...
idk, I still had a great time with it despite some of the rough bits.

Okay so my opinion is as follows I am completely proud of the dev for finishing this game and sticking to his guns on the ending. Pun intended. BUUUT personally for me that ending ruined the entire game for me. I was a huge fan of this game for so long I was eagerly awaiting every update. That ending fucking murdered any happiness I felt for the ending. Not just because Serena was gone but because it poorly bypassed something I was looking forward too which was the birth of the kids and being there for the LIs. Now again I don't hate the dev for their choice in ending but just like Acting Lessons (which this dev has stated he loved) I personally cant stand this game. Its turned me off of the dev permanently. And I know people will probably think i am being whiny but its whatever I don't care about their opinions. I invested enough of my time and briefly my own money into this game. It was a mistake as that ending ruins it for ME personally no one else. So i won't be supporting this. Buuuut I will say I wish the dev all the success in the world for their future endeavors and games because I respect the hardwork and passion put into their games. But I am not a fan of games that do these kinds of endings. Its a personal thing I play these games to as the dev put it a few years ago on SS "Just happiness" if I wanted to feel like shit I would just look at my real life. Anyways I have said plenty

TLDR: I wish the dev all the success but I will no longer be playing their games as clearly this is something they enjoy doing. Shock endings. Not my taste. Still respect for completing the game and the hardwork.

Also an addition I am pretty sure all the solo endings will have the same kind of ending and thats why I am dropping this game. Clearly this dev prefers these endings and is definitely planning to add this kind of ending to all of the solo endings. Thank you for all the happiness you gave me before that ending. Seriously wish you all the luck in the world Dev.

You will be even more disappointed then because in the sequel there will be a new MC, so the story for this MC is over, with a bullet in his head and part of his brain blown off.

The most we can expect for the sequel is for the MC's daughter to appear. She runs away from home apparently (wow, such happy family lmao) and then gets fucked by the asshole new MC, being just another whore in his harem. ( making daddy proud :HideThePain:)

This dev hates this game's protagonist :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:, dude just cant catch a break.

Although maybe in second game we can have a scary movie -like ending, since he likes doing stupid shit right at the end, at least it would be funny

is there any chance of her to come back in sequel?i liked her :(
I will say no because the dev went 'i don't want to be predictable and subverted the player expectation route' before the ending without any buildup or foreshadowing however due to the backlash he retcon Serena's death into still alive and deep within MC subconscious to keep the bullet from hitting the vital part of MC brain.

Oh, word? That's what happens? What a bizarre sequel hook. Don't mind the guy getting shot, it barely even mattered, but that final scene just really weirded me out. I thought the implication was that his daughter Serena had somehow time traveled or something and become the Serena in his mind. Though the reality of it is still weird since why would you end the story with a 5 line scene about a character I've never seen being gone.

Don't think I'll play the sequel. I finished out of curiosity, or obligation, but really not a fan of 50% of the game being a forced harem route with pregnant content only (both things which the choices in the first half would've led you to believe were optional), and past the very early game none of the characters really even feel like characters anymore. I think the only one with a discernable personality after "joining" the harem is the sister.

#3 Devlog of 2025

HS2_2025-06-12-17-19-52-899.jpg

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a great day. It's been awhile since the last devlog, so I better keep you all updated on how things are. First off, the rendering of DR2 is at its last stretch, I just need to make 30ish renders and it'll be complete. After that I do the last bits and bobs and the game is released.

But before it's release, I want to explain this sequel more to avoid frustration. This is not the continuation story of our previous MC Sam. This game focuses on a new MC and his life. He's another troubled guy who awakens his subconscious due to his suicidal nature. It is the same concept, just told in a new way with a new cast and all.

But what about the ending of DR1? Who's Serena? DR2 takes place 20+ years after DR1. Our old MC is an old man now with all his children grown up and one of them is Serena, his daughter from Lera and she's missing. We're going to learn more about this situation on DR2, but it is going to take a while for us to get there, 'cause I'm working on two games now. But fear not. I'll give you all a bit of spoiler to make you all understand the situation better.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

I hope all this make things more clear for everyone. After DR2's release I'll be working on the chosen girls solo ending for DR1 which you can still vote on SS.

Anyway, this is all for this devlog, take care everyone!

I'm having an issue where attempting to launch the game does nothing. No crash, no error message, the game simply doesn't open. Does anyone know how to fix that?

I've seen that happen with RPGM games when the path was too long (subfolders in subfolders in subfolders...). Not sure if that's a thing with Ren'Py games too, so just a random wild guess.

**Depth's Revival 2 Beta Release**
Here it is everyone. The release of Depth's Revival 2!

This is a complete beta release, which means there's nothing missing, but there might be some bugs that I didn't notice, if you find any please report them to me.

Now let's talk about the game. **Firstly, this is not the continuation of Depth's Revival 1's story.**
This game takes place in the same universe as DR1, but it has a whole new cast and a new main character who shares the same fate our first MC had.

Having a new cast also doesn't mean we're never going to see the cast of the first game. The first episode has some small nods, and in the future episodes we'll get to see our old cast in a new light. I already made a devlog spoiling the fate of DR1's cast, if you want, you can check it out [here.](< >) I will also start my work on DR1's solo endings after the release of DR2, and it will also come with a true ending to the story which is going to be the canon ending for DR1, so look forward to that!

Overview of the story:
You wake up one day and lose everything you ever had. What will you do? Keep fighting? I'm afraid I'm not that strong. I chose the easy way out and if you can believe that I even botched that one. Now I have a hot babe inside my head saying she can fix my life.

- That's true, I can do that, if you can just believe me.
- Shut up, I'm having a moment here.
- I can't shut up, I'm your subconscious, now listen to me, and you'll get everything you ever wanted in your life.

DR2 takes the concept of the first game and improves it in all aspects, more girls, more sex, more pregnancy, custom animations, voiced sex scenes, original soundtrack and most importantly an actual main story!

Okay, now let's talk about the content inside the first episode.

- 500 Images
- 5 Animations
- 30+ Original Soundtrack
- Voiced sex scenes
- And a banger introduction to the story.

You can play it here:
