You press X OR Shift+X if and only if they are saying something in yellow.
The minigames in this game are really the worst explained shits. Especially the fishing one.

you object with shift + x and you need to object 2 times:
- when the big guy is saying that he walked a straight line up the mountain
- when the girl is saying she saw an monkey

Instead of "she joined blabla..." the translation always says "They joined..." as if one person is threated like multiple persons. Please fix in next patch.

That's grammatically correct so why would it need fixing? "They" can be used to refer to individuals instead of being used as a plural just fine, it's simply a gender neutral pronoun in that context.

Yup, the whole point of using they instead of he/she is because the AI doesn't know the correct gender due to how Japanese works.

It can be kinda annoying when its a bit too liberal using it but IMO beats getting it completely wrong like it often used to do. And its not like it does it everytime, if the AI does know the gender of the subject being referenced it will use the correct pronoun.

Went in blind, thinking this was a NTR game. Unexpectedly lovey-dovey. Sadly Renka gets shafted compared to the rest of the heroines. She doesn't even get anywhere close to the events the other heroines do. Seems like she's the default end if the other heroines aren't romanced. For some reason the protagonist has an unused sprite model that's never seen in-game. It's even on the dlsite page.
