is the current mod compatible till the 0.16 content?
The original mod is compatible only with the 0.16b version of the game. Do not attempt to install it over any other version.

I updated it manually to the previously latest 0.16c here . But then again, the mod can only be installed on the previous 0.16c version of the game.

At this point, and until the mod is updated by the original author after the public version of 0.17 is made available, there is no way of installing the multimod on the latest version, no matter what. Not even with partial functionality given the sheer number of changes made for the steam version.

shit bought the game but still need the mod
There is a pdf walkthrough (with 2 versions, full content and no-sharing) for the reworked version 0.17 if you want some guidance in the game OP while you wait the mod to be updated. It may take a while because the game was reworked and probably the modder have a lot of work with it, almost as if they were making a new mod for a game with a lot of content.

Yep, this is going to take some time for sure, honestly it's bullsh*t they decided to make this big changes 4-5 years old game, I hate when I need to start from zero with non-VN games, if you are making a game with Sandbox gameplay your #1 priority should be keeping save compatibility, so users don't has to experience pain to start over again.

Yep exactly, that is one of the reasons I dislike and avoid sandbox games, they are annoying in terms of "replayability". Once I finish them I have very very few will to repeat them because there is too many clicks and point and clickily things.
For me is like reading a book and after chapter 1 I decide to read chapter 4 and then back to 2 and then 8 and back to 5, you see what I mean hehe just saying random numbers. I prefer the book/game author to tell me how they intend the chronological events to happen. DS have the fortune of simply being the best Sandbox game I played and eventually I'll begin it again or else for sure it was deleted already.

Just look at my favorite games in my sig and the only one that resembles sandbox is BAD because of excessive use of freeroams  the major plot/story scenes are still linear though.

These are games that are in development. If you hate these kind of changes, you should not be playing unfinished games.

Exactly this. It may be that later in the game development certain variables become useless or required. It may be that the game becomes bloated. It may be that the software updates/advances and requires an overhaul. It may be that the hardware advances and allows implementation of new features or scenes.

With the development time of VNs it's not much of a surprise. It's the same with rewrites or devs re-doing renders from early chapters.

E: In this case it's all of the above. They've removed bloat, implemented new features/scenes, changed variables, updated software.
