Yep, this is going to take some time for sure, honestly it's bullsh*t they decided to make this big changes 4-5 years old game, I hate when I need to start from zero with non-VN games, if you are making a game with Sandbox gameplay your #1 priority should be keeping save compatibility, so users don't has to experience pain to start over again.

Bro. If it's really that big of a deal to you just go to settings and select "skip unseen text" and hold down CTRL. You'll be caught back up in like 10 minutes. Even with having to select choices and travel to different places. No idea why people are making such a big deal out of this. For the rest of us, it's fine because the content has changed so replaying the game is fun.

He's probably calling it bullshit aswell when he's playing actual EA Games and has to play from the beginning because Devs changed something major LoL.
Why bother with Sandbox Games at all is my question to him if it's that annoying..

The thing is, DS is easily one of the least frustrating sandbox games. It takes no time at all. It's just refreshing the day and picking objectives. I just ran through the entire game using the PDF Walkthrough for choices, using the method I mentioned and it took me a grand total of 25 minutes to be ready for the walkthrough to update for the new version.

I'm with you although i haven't restarted just yet, i'll be waiting for Adan. It is not only the least frustrating Sandbox game but also ( at least in my Opinion ) one that is actually worth to replay after a while and honestly can't wait to do so, haven't seen any AVN with such amazing Renders so far and i've probably played by far 500 if not more in the past 4 Years.

Oh I'm planning on doing the same. I just wanted to see how long it would take to run through it quick with a pdf as a walkthrough and skipping dialogue until I got to the point I finished at. Just to see why some people are crying about it.

I see well, 25 mins seems solid enough considering it's Sandbox.

If you mean in a sandbox style, then no, never found one as good as this one. If you meant also in more linear style then look at my signature, probably you will find something for your taste.

Never tried it because it has abandoned tag, and it seems that the early steam update this year didn't took it out of abandoned. Also it says that it has a VN mode now, like The Inn that its sandbox with a linear VN mode option and I play that always in VN mode, if I can avoid sandbox gameplay I always will hahaha. Really wish DS had a linear VN mode and was my wish in a reworked DS like it happened, for sure it would enter my favorite game list (in my sig, even though can't really put any other game in it, ran out of letters hehe or else the pseudo-kind of sandbox game The Interim Domain would be there too).

Not abandoned yet. Just an incommunicado dev long enough to get the abandoned tag per site rules. And you don't get all content in vn mode. Full experience is the only way to get the scenes in quest section(which seem like they will have story significance eventually).

Hmm I see, well I'll try it once it keeps getting regular updates and leaves the abandoned tag. Being a sandbox doesn't give me much will to play them since I avoid starting new ones few months after starting playing this adult games (from my join date maybe tried some for like 3 months), DS was just one along like 2 or 3 more that I didn't delete hehe, now I filter new games to try by their tags, if they have sandbox tag but a pretty good rating like 4 stars+ then I at least read the thread and see if worth it but that doesn't say all, Harem Hotel is just an example, such an annoying sandbox gameplay hehehe I barely played it and was bored of my mind from its mechanics, no idea how it has such an high rate.

Hmm I see, well I'll try it once it keeps getting regular updates and leaves the abandoned tag. I fucking hate sandbox. Most of them are annoying grindy bullshit and rarely worth the effort. Only one's I played worth the effort(and really not that grindy) are this one, deluca family and lilith rising.

getting errors from mod

Both of you do you play in pc?? Also try downloading this: https://f95zone.to/threads/unren-ba...compiler-console-developer-menu-enabler.3083/ put in the folder called game and chose extract rpa files then copy and paste my mod and overwrite if asked. I didn't have any problem and i did the mod from scratch since the dev change all the code and the saves dont work you need to start a new game. Also i play and download the full game not compressed versions.

Exactly, always use mods carefully like checking exactly for what version of the game it must be used and how it should be installed hehe even tiny bug fixes updates sometimes can make a mod to give errors, and we are here to help the modder giving most information on how and in what game condition we used it as they also help us improving our gameplay for free. So far didn't encounter any issue, will keep reporting if there is any.
