The bulk of the update was reworks of older stuff, with little new story content.How about people, is it worth playing it? I've had 3 updates since I haven't played it. Does it have enough content?

Honestly, no. Love the game, but the updates tend to be veeeery thin in terms of actual content and I also first played it about three or four updates ago. my old saves work fine, just had to move them from the previous save location in
(user\current\appdata\Roaming\RenPy\DesertStalkerEA-100001)
to the new location

Although it is one of my favorite games, I found the last few updates inadequate in terms of content. Graphics 10/10, characters 10/10 but the last updates were not satisfactory. I was especially looking forward to the 0.17 update, I even bought an elder membership but I was disappointed. I hope it will be better in the future
and I thought that at least I would have it for a while haha we have to wait at least 2 years thanks

What did you find inadequate about this update? For me, this Mutant's quest was a nice way to move the story forward. It was an event on the same level of the Raider settlement takeover and the first Mutant quest. Only thing better than all of those, so far, was Shani in the Zone.
This is inevitable in later updates for games with any level of branching tbh.
You need to have multiple different runs going at the same time to see all the content every time

I would advise against it. The save folder was changed for a reason as many things in the code have changed.

Yeah, I concur with GetOutOfMyLab. Lots of internal code changes have been made between V0.16 and V0.17, so even if you change the save file location, due to the inherent code changes, backwards compatibility won't work since there have been a lot of drastic changes introduced to the core game between different versions. Hence why the dev team have been communicating the fact that old saves will not work as effectively due to the introduction of the reworks and all.
Anyways, guys just skip to the point where you had left off in V0.16 in V0.17. Very easy and should not take that much time to do. Let's put the nail in the coffin for these pointless save game compatibility debates already lol

LOL. I thought the v. 0.17 update was something I imagined in my head. I'd been checking for updates way too often these past few weeks. This just made my day!
How stable is this release?
I don't mind replaying the game, but I don't wanna rereplay in the next release because some crucial variables got corrupted, ifyouknowwhatimean.
