Yeah, I think the application of the eye-liner is more pronounced in the newer character iteration of Ain compared to the older model

Honestly the eyeliner looks about the same, only in the newer image the shadows cover her face abit making it look darker, could be wrong though

The graphic shaders used in newer versions are more noticeable. So, it could be a graphics rendering thing as well to make Ain's face look more "gothic" in her appeal
I"m pretty sure it's to make her look older. Before the change you could argue she looked underaged so they made a change to avert any issues with Patreon, iirc.
