I'm a little worried about the state in which this thread has declined too. It's clear that this is very a sensitive subject matter; however, it's not going to be settled here. You need to ask if "this is a hill worth dying on". I've seen threads cleaned up for less and I'd hate to see people lose the zest for expression simply because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The Game got a complete rework of the UI (plus bug fix of old known bugs) and there were some old renders replaced, the Dev team decided to redo 5 renders in which the character seemed underage and caused be blocked by Patreon. this because they got it to launch on Steam.
they tweaked the story as well and improved the overall quality.
This 5 renders which got taken out, are the censorship drama which is ongoing here in the thread although it got a bit oftopic since they are discussing what "censorship" is and what not.
If you haven't played the game for a long time, then you probably don't even notice the changes. My recomendation download and enjoy

Just gotta accept the fact that no single game can cater to ALL of our desires. I take what works for me and ignore what doesn't, in any given game. If you're really passionate about having things be your way, you need to turn that passion into a creative force and start working on your own project(s). I found that my dissatisfaction with entertainment media was actually an indicator that I need to create art, maybe you'll find that's the case for you too. Godspeed.

It can but you willing to use a save from a bugged version of the game to use in the fix or later version forward? Cause I guarantee you it will break at some point, each saves have its own variables.

HOW TO RUN IT ON MAC (for those who may it concern)

1. Make the file an executable by opening the command prompt and executing :

chmod +x "/Users/YOUR_USER_NAME/Downloads/Desert Stalker v0.17.1.1-WLM/DesertStalker.app/Contents/MacOS/DesertStalker"

Make sure you replace YOUR_USER_NAME
2. Right-click -> "Show Package Contents" on your "DesertStalker.app" file (note it's not the .exe one)
3. Go to "Contents" -> "Resources" -> Create a folder inside named "autorun"
4. Copy the "game", "renpy", "lib", "DesertStalker.py" and "DesertStalker.sh" files into that autorun folder.
5. Right-click -> "Open" on the "DesertStalker.app" file (note you probably would need to go to System Settings and click "Open Anyway" because your Mac will complain that the app comes from an untrusted developer)
6. Enjoy

Guys is there a way to tone down/turn off incest? Or maybe it gets less invasive later on? I wanted to check the story out in this one to see if it's as good as the score suggests and I know different strokes for different folks, but this shit weirding me out and there is so much porn in the beginning that I kinda struggle to get through lol.
