Every time I come back with hype to play this game (it's been two years) I always make myself wait till it's finished because I know I liked it a lot and I don't wanna invest hours only to stop myself and have to replay once new updates drop.

Hmm, so what is the canon relatioship between the household. Of cource, i understand why we have the option to changed it in the menu, but what was the devs initial vision? Ain and Shani are bought slaves turned proteges or real daughters? I just need simple answer, no need to start the religious war.

If you love incest, go with daughters and we all know that since Patreon doesn't allow it, Zetan has given us the option to manually enter the relationships.

That it the point. I really don't care about incest or not. What i care is devs vision. I like to play games how the creater thought it should be. I was not following the dev process closly so may be there were dev logs where this question was answered. Was the change relationship option added later or was in the initial release version?

It was added later. I still have an older version of the game where the family dynamic was just baked in from the start buried somewhere on an old computer in my attic.

Don’t overthink it, just enjoy the ride.

However, if you decide not to make them his biological daughters, the dialogue shifts slightly since in that case, they were adopted from the temple.

They are family, Ain and Shani are his and Zahra's daughters, everything else is Patreon/payment processors meddlery.

I'd have always preferred to have them as Zahra's daughters.

A ready made family for Zatan to "cherish" as much as he likes.

The first husband was killed by Zatan's own sword.

That would have been cool.

You have the option to call them whatever you want, wife/daughter, harem girl 1/harem girl 2, old pet/young pet... However wife/daughter is the canon despite what the dev team might say because of the fear of patreon's ban.
