A bald MC is already too much for me, I would do a mod to add hair to him if I was into visual development.

The lore is great so it could get with more content, but I guess fewer people want the dev spending time creating a deep lore in an AVN.

I agree, I'm waiting for Emilia story to continue, I wish there was more background story about why so many people from northern areas recently went to Egypt, like if in those areas the living conditions are even worse for some reason related to the original apocalypse, or because of more recent events.

No, I mean I play with the non-incest lines because a bald MC into incest with her alleged daughters is too much for me. I prefer to think they were rescued from horror like Fairy, and since they choose to romance you like both Fairy and Emilia also can do, then it isn't wrong.

Brother-sister or non-bald MC with her long distant hot mother is where I draw the incest line, but unless the lines are totally broken because they were written with incest in mind but were hastily replaced with non-incest words, I don't bother with modding. "Oh noes, you can't romance her because she is your roommate and that's totally wrong!" is worse than possibly any incest permutation.

Aside from royalty & priests, incest was never common in ancient Egyptian & neighboring Mesopotamian cultures. There was a religious significance to it, showing association with sibling spouse gods like Osiris/Isis & Ba'al/Anat. It is decidedly not one of the tags that drew me in. I suppose it could be rationalized as a necessary repopulation response to cataclysmic depopulation coupled with an effort to prevent mutant births. As such, it may have become a socially acceptable practice, at least until hemophilia & birth defects start showing up.

This time around I decided to see what it would take, to really remove incest from this game . Well... attempting to do that creates so many grammar errors, that I am still trying to correct them all. I could really care less about whether there is incest or not in this game. This game is great no matter how you play it, but it was originally designed to have incest. If you want to play without it, and care about grammar at all, you are in for trouble .

a virgin post apocalypse civilization seeing that their ancestors put so much stock into ancient egypt are more likely to emulate ancient egypt over contemporary.

but i dont think thats the reason. i think its because 2 reasons,

1 its a cooler story this way.
2 because as we have learned Zetan's elders and true rulers have been using ancient egypt customs as a way to control the masses. earth history has taught us, religion is the quickest way to turn people into cattle and docile beasts of burden.

Zetan society is pretty much a carbon copy of ancient Egypt, including architecture and objects used by their citizens. They banned technology so going back to the past is intentional.

If the queen was in a mosque, or in an office building, you could say it's based on modern Egypt but she is in an ancient Egypt styled temple, dressed like an ancient Egypt queen, and the city streets are also styled like that etc...

Because their society is based on pseudo-pharaonic culture. Look at the clothing, architecture, weapons, & art. Even the colloseum reflects Roman conquest of pre-modern Egypt. Rather than a dynastic structure, the queen seems to be selected by council. I'm guessing here, but suspect they use something like omens to make the selection like Buddhists do to select the next Dalai Lama.

All valid points. But I meant more of the discussions in the forums about authenticity that ignores the thousands of years before the apocalypse and the 400(?) years since. Even modeling on the ancient times there will be changes. But, maybe I've misunderstood the discussions as complaints of inconsistency as opposed to just fun facts.

For those of you who need it: New Save, should be roughly at 0.19 (shortly before starting the temple search with Shani and Neith)

Mutants Path: Mantis with Mutants
Fairy Path: Healing ("best" one)
Settlment Path: supporting
Shani: Romanced and on "help" - Reyna alive

I restarted the game on 19.3 and finished on 19.4, so there should be no compability issues. Gallery is fully unlocked (not sure that transfers tho)

As far as I remember, the last time that was talked about, I think it was said the game´s story was about 40% done. So plenty more to still go.
