If you make the right choices, you play through the eyes of the elder daughter and control her actions when you do. While she isn't the primary protagonist, you are playing her as an alternate MC when she's in the Zone (where you can make decisions that cause her to not return).

Got it done, this was a GREAT UPDATE , I did not encounter a single problem with the Win version of this Beta. I think this is one of the best games on F95...Complete the missions she's onKeep leaving the bunker etc until she does everything she needs to.

You have had to do the (optional) investigate the apartment with Shani and play all the way through it. Nothing bad happens in it except Shani can die, to avoid that when the choice 'run out' or 'kill the creature' choose run out.
