Because they are rubbing it in everyone else's faces. Don't even try to pretend that they aren't doing it deliberately to get a rise out of people. In most places that's called "trolling" and is looked down on.

By the way, my esteemed fellow porn gamers, i was wondering... What's this game about?

Don't get me wrong, i absolutely love this game, and i think it's actually the best western VN made so far, even if there is a preciuos few well deserving competitors. And i think it should be regarded a lot more than some popular college freshman's experiences...

But honestly, what is the main plot of this game? Where is the story going if anywere at all?

There is a shining high tech thinghy that will mean something... eventually?

But so far the story is mostly random events to build up the main factions of the story (and what events! I loved every second) and the story is not really moving at all yet.

It has been several years so far.

i start to wonder if this game or even the genre will grow too old before it can actually even forsee its completition.

Machete ; good question, from what I've interpreted, it is about the Adventures, of a Desert Stalker, and how these bring a new world order in his time.
to the other question yes compeltion we shall see in a future, everything hints that the Makers have the Story already figured out, in raw lines.

Hmm.... Could someone tell me workaround for Fairy introduction to household sending you to main menu please? I don't use mods and I started fresh gameplay.

Im a patreon and in his latest blog he mentioned exactly this and that has been many sidequests and that he now wants to focus a bit more on main story.

So if quests won't progress do I need to restart the entire save or what? There's no means for me to progress.
