I started following this game around 2021, starting with version 0.5 and onwards. Of course, I might have missed something over the years, but relatively recently (after the release of 0.17 where old saves stopped working), I had to replay the game once again. Personally, I didn't notice any change towards less brutality in the scene where Zaton, along with Asha, storms the raiders' base. That's not true. If you play the earlier versions, you can see that they were much more brutal. Play the scene where Zaton first confronts the raiders in their own base for example. It's been toned down quite a bit probably for the Steam release I think. I suspect though that is it not censorship per se, but more of a recalibration, to allow more escalation in brutality and domination as the game progresses.
And that “I suspect” of yours doesn't seem like a certainty that such censorship took place either. Again, I'm not making any assertions, I'm just saying that I personally haven't noticed any difference between that "old DS" and the new one (reworked v0.17+). Asha still beheads that raider, there's still blood and violence, there are still various vraiiants of sex scenes on the base itself. If you have specific examples of censorship, cite them. Personally, I don't remember any.
