How do you lose a save? Hard drive failure, perhaps? Imagine losing all your personal files. Documents, pictures, years of important and valuable data, suddenly gone! You'd be freaking out, right? Nah, let's go on the F-Zone and beg other dudes for their sloppy seconds-saves to jerk off to.

It´s pretty annoying, but I wouldn´t go that far. Some people really just lost their saves and don´t want to replay everything again, they may not have the time to do it all over. That said, this game doesn´t have a linear story, so the save I have might not have the same choices that the person asking for it made in theirs. If the person is going for a pregnancy route, they won´t want my save, I´ll tell you that much.
And if their goal is to just jerk off, this game as a gallery (as all AVN´s should), so you don´t even need a save for that.

It's honestly better to spend 15 minutes pressing control to skip all than just downloading a save from a random person. That's just asking for a virus.
Also, I don't think a 100% save would help with gallery completion which is the only value I could see since I think you need to see the content to unlock in the gallery, but for that you have the walkthrough mod here which includes a gallery unlocker.

Sounds like a 'them' problem. It's like when people complain because other people play videogames on easy difficulty level. Ok, you don't like it and it's a legit opinion, but it's up to them how they want to enjoy the game. If they want to see the full unlock gallery first and play if after or not to play it at all, it doesn't change your enjoyment of the game, i think.

Good question, but it happened to me once, for a game about a rapey insane ex inmate on the lose with the complicity of his psychiatric evaluator. I downloaded the new update and no save was there. I go to look for the ren'py roaming folder and it wasn't there. My best guess, i erased it by mistake. I didn't bother re-playing the game, it's not worth the time but i think it'll make you happy that i didn't ask around for saves

Yes, it won't change my enjoyment of the game, but this game is too great and unique to be “played” in this way. I can't change the people who beg for 100% saves here, but at least I can discourage this nonsense by not indulging their laziness..And this is something that each of us can do if we believe that DS deserves to be immersed in this well-crafted and atmospheric world and enjoyed for its storyline and characters. (imo)

agreed. Myself personally, I reread every line thrice before clicking on next image. only then you can feel the grandiose of desert stalker in its full glory

I agree with that. Plus, the sex scenes hit a lot more if you play the game, the build up and teasing is where it really shines.
