Because this is the patreon beta version, which was leaked, with bugs, which included Asha being gangbanged even if you had sharing off (no doubt traumatizing some fans *stare*). As opposed to the version you'd get on steam, with those bugs fixed.
And because by paying the dev you support the dev, allowing them to create these games. Honestly, seriously, that's why you bother paying any dev here, despite knowing this site exists - because you want to support them.

You are free to download the very bug version that is present here. Steam update will be a stable patch

Unless the devs are lurking here, pirate beta testers are not that helpful right now since bugs can be reported on the discord server, but to avoid spoilers, anything about unreleased content has to go in a channel only Patreon members can access. If you post a bug report for unreleased stuff in the regular bug channel, it’ll just get deleted.

IIRC, Zetan once mentioned in the discord server that this is his full time job. I haven't played the pirated version so don't know how big this update is, but I think we would start getting more chunkier updates going forward, as Zetan has recently hired another artist to help him with the renders.
