I like the post apocalyptic choose your own adventure even if I can hardly stand visual novels. I can understand the complaint it's like Chekhov's gun. You present the smoke right in the beginning even going so far as to ask if its something you want to avoid entirely, setting up the expectation going in but never deliver. I'm getting Doom/Animal Crossing vibes where it's violence out the gate and 40 hrs in you're wondering how it led you to pulling weeds and catching butterflies. It's the false advertisement of including "spanking" as a tag when the dude only slaps her ass once and never again. I don't think it's worth shaming a person who's expectations promised from the outset are never delivered. We're allowed to call out bad writing flow, right?
