Five is definitely high - I can't really remember any AVNs I've played that have scenes that big. I can think of several AVNs that include MC + 4 women group sex scenes though.That's true, but situations where mc is even capable of having five different girls in one bed are very rare...

They came about because Z had improved to such a degree in the visual department, that he grew dissatisfied with his earliest work and decided to tune it up when he felt it didn't represent his skills adequately anymore.
It makes sense to have a more cohesive quality across the game. Even though it was interesting to see the progression as the updates came out, a new player would probably find it jarring or not be taken in much by a game that has a cover page of a certain style, and the first scenes of a notably lower quality.

DS really only made its animations and images better, and more modern, well to some shittier since they compressed them more, and the rest was upgrading to a newer Ren'Py version and cleaning up the code which they probably haven't ever did.
Most reworks aren't inheritably bad, especially ones that upgrade Ren'Py and fix their shit code, but people get pissssssy (understandable) since that almost always breaks saves.
As far as I can tell, they also remake while continuing the story. Compared to others who stop the story for several updates while doing the rework.

Indeed. If you have a project on development for 5-10 years, of course it's engine will progressively get obsolete and you'll have to do something about it. But i'm talking about games rewriting entire chapters' plots, cutting sequences and making characters dumber and more vanilla to go around supposed sensibilities or vague regulations.
Good stories are though provoking, but we are in the era of stale, cushy safezones.
buy it on Steam? Steam might delist this game, look at "genre" for clue why it might happen, i am not complaining, just saying it might happen, because of new Steam guidelines, Steam delisted other game for lesser "offence"
