Yeap that would do it as most walkthrough mods are edits of the original script files and when installed they overwrite files or get used first if the game files haven't been extracted yet. Glad you figured out what caused the problem.

Ha, yeah. Now I want more sharing choices of her. I know y'all might be mad, If the dev put the choice to share Ain to the entire town folks, I will do it without hesitation.
So... you'll be grooming her to be one of those revered mothers then, yes? Look at you perfectly playing into the story and helping with the world building of the game.

I believe it just removes a few renders of beheadings, killings, etc. I do not know for sure as I have never tried it, but it should remove most of the gore. You should not miss out on any important scenes (though, some sex scenes might contain gore if you go that route but you would have to specifically chose those options).
Choosing it will skip any gore content or disable choices that lead to it. But it does not alter the game itself in the sense of story or events.
