Well, it depends on how much influence the feedback of these folks has on the game. Lesbian content between Shani and the queen was teased already. On the other hand there aren't even any other named characters in the game, which Shani could get involved with, so it's not like the game is promising much in that regard anyway.
I think the bigger issue is that this game is entirely maledom content despite the number of badass female characters and I don't see Shani changing that. Like I can't even imagine something like the opening scene with the raiders, but with Shani as the PC instead. I think people would complain about a dominant Shani, who's collecting dicks the way Zaton is collecting pussy more so than any ntr.

Honestly, this is a simple case of the fact that majority of the people on f95, or anyone playing porn games for that matter, are males with mostly hetero to bi tendencies.

That coupled with the fact that you have a self insert male MC means that any sort of Shani dicking is gonna end with backlash. The dev would be wise to avoid it. It causes arguments in any game where it's a thing.

I would actually disagree. Just because something can be polarizing doesn’t mean adding it takes balls. For example: would adding necrophilia, just because it would add a fetish and might appeal to a new audience, show balls? Or would it be a weird choice that doesn’t fit and feels off? Likewise, imagine if they had Shani die in the zone? That could “fit the story,” Zones are super dangerous and we just saw a guy die in there to a gang of people. Would having her die, cause it would be realistic and could fit the story, be an act to show balls? Or is it more like a big middle finger to some of your fans?

At the end of the day this is a service industry *and* an art. It has more in common with cooking than it does with pure art for art sake. Yes, they can use it to showcase their story and skills, but they are creating it to be consumed by others as well. The story doesn’t write itself as if given to the writer by god from on high. Just because something *can* be done, doesn’t mean it should be done. And just because something *could* fit the story, doesn’t mean it should. And just because something might be polarizing doesn’t mean adding it is inherently brave and ballsy; it could be dumb, silly, destructive, out-of-place, or a mistake.

Yes, it would show balls. IF (!) it were the devs vision to include impopular fetish XYZ or plot twist ABC which would fit in the story, it could be a master move, or it could be complete failure. Making a choice which can lead to success or failure but not much in between is kind of the definition of showing balls.

Compare a thriller TV series where all main characters survive through all 5 seasons to a thriller TV series where only 2 of the original main characters make it through the 5 seasons while the other 10 are killed off. Given that this is a thriller, which of the two would create the more suspense? Clearly the one which doesn't hang on to the characters. Just the fact that you don't know who's going to be killed next, massively increases the suspense. Maybe you get angry because your favourite gets killed, but I think it's better than the alternative.

But showing balls may not always be the best thing, I agree with you there.

For example killing Shani now would be stupid in my opinion, because we are nowhere near done with the character.

However a COMPLETELY OPTIONAL route where Shani meets the love of her life, who happens to be not her father, well.... I'm sure it would be divisive but it could fit the story, where Shani is not supposed to be her fathers pet all her life, but instead take over and continue the household. To be able to do that she needs children of her own and probably it's better if Zaton is not the father.

NTR is just some weird Japanese acronym that everyone interprets differently.

In context of the game, I think Shani is *not* the MC's property for two reasons:
1) She is the 2nd MC so the player can choose what she does (within limits obviously)
2) Shani was raised to become a stalker. Ain was raised to be a wife / pet / bedwarmer. Ain is clearly the Zaton's property, either to use or to give away, but Shani isn't.

As you can clearly witness during Ain's personal time with Stalker, she has her own free will, and Stalker does not interfere with it. Just because Ain have decided to devote herself to housewife lifetime on her own free will, does not mean she can be considered as a property. Not more than Shani. She just decided she will be more secure, more useful and more loved in the position she is now - Stalker's concubine. And nobody can say she is playing her role half-assed or not sincere. She is a true f*cking material and she is proud of it (like, why not? She has all the right assets), why would she be like Shani or Queen? She is herself and we love her for that.
So, it's like your relationship with a loving wife. Do you own her? Yes. Does she own you? Yes as well. Since you care about her and she cares about you. It's not a one-way relation.
So Ain's devotion to Stalker is her own free will and decision, not a result of some kind of deception or corruption. That's why this relation is so lovable - she loves to be owned by him, and he loves to own her. Roleplay kind of relation? Sure, seems like it. Master-slave relation? No, because love feelings are mutual.
Same goes to Shani. She gives herself to Stalker for his char/charisma, not because she is his property. That's why, being superficially linear, girls' relations with MС are not that trivial when it comes to detail, that's why they are much more lovable by players. Even if they share the same models you've seen in other games
I agree, Ain may not seem like a very interesting character when it comes to the story advance, but 1) that is only for now, nobody knows how she will affect the main plot in the future 2) she is curvy, f*ckable, available and willing, you cannot lose with this combination.
We need more story to know more, but interactions with Ain are the main part which gives this game this kind of an alluring vibe. Whether you like it this way or not. )

The thing is that necrophilia would fit the game quite well, because it already has rape, gore and cannibalism. Shani fucking around would also fit the game well, because every other character does it and there's worldbuilding for it. Shani's purity would actually feel out of place, if this wasn't a porn game that had to take its player's kinks into consideration.
I feel like these are perfect examples to show how this game, despite its unabashed violence and sexuality, is still very considerate to the more faint of heart, who prefer a pure power fantasy.

At the end of the day this is a service industry *and* an art.

It's for the artist to decide, if he wants to see his work like that or not. The whole idea behind Patreon is that art shouldn't need mass appeal, but devoted supporters instead.

Like any other extreme fetish, it has to be implemented very carefully, as a part of the story and emerge naturally, for people to accept it as a part of the story even if this fetish is in their ban list.

Even if some ideas are not really absurd for the given scenario, their implementation fails in most cases because of the non-existing optionality of these ideas. Too much effort for DEV, too much delay in development, etc. Or simply because DEV let itself be convinced/buy by a (stupid *cough*) idea. High Tier supporters can have quite a lot of influence on some developments...

If the player always had the possibility of a choice/decision, the biggest bullshit could be implemented without the forum being under fire once again and the pitchforks along with torches having to be unpacked.
Or in the worst case another DEV gives up and an unfinished AVN is buried....
