The problem is that someone shared the beta version (0.12.0) but didn't shared the full version that was released several days later (0.12.1)
Also you may think what you want but compared to a beta version a full release is an updated version
The dev said this about the difference between beta and full version

The android port (v0.12.1) doesn't have the new content. After the last scene from the previous update (v0.12.0), it restarts to the scene of you going to Kayla's room to tell her your side of the story.

The only difference between 0.12.0 beta and 0.12.1 is that there are a few more renders and 2 more animations. Apart from autosave.
I think that when she give you the massage there are two animations and nothing more...

Maybe the dev should be more concise and add
+2 new animation
+11 new renders
