Since the dev is actually here, can the space between text in the history section be decreased in the future?
I really wanted to like this one but I just can't. It leans too far into my pet peeve of having an MC that doesn't insist on knowing what's going on.
How can you just hang out with a bunch of people sharing a secret (a secret about YOU!) and not insist that they tell you what the fuck is going on. How can you not just resent people that manipulated, abandonned and deceived you without knowing why they did it?
I understand how useful it is for narrative purposes to slow play information reveals but you have to find a way to do it where I'm not calling bullshit on the way characters react to the restriction of information being given to them.
If it was just this game, it wouldn't feel so tired but it feels like every game with intrigue is like this these days and I just can't suspend disbelief. It's simply frustrating. Imagine yourself in real life where you're made aware your friends and family know each other and know a whole backstory about you that you aren't privy to. Wouldn't getting to the bottom of that be your number 1 priority? Would you be able to trust or enjoy the company of any of them until you knew what was going on? Wouldn't people that want you to like them freely offer you an explanation that allows you to understand them and their actions better?
You had me at the ejaculating blood from a bug-covered penis but lost me by not rising above the same fucking shallow mystery trope we're being inundated with.

Daine certainly is a protagonist that's plagued with severe mental health issues, actively runs from his problems, and tries to pretend they don't exist because life's easier that way.
Chapter 1 is definitely a slow burn. I wrote it like that on purpose, but I can confirm that there's subtle character progression going on as Chapter 1 progresses lol.

Hi, any idea why the event Pornographic Visual Representation played immediately after Magic Geology even though I didn't have enough Sam affection and I'm about 9 events from Hide and Seek? Was really confusing when I didn't know who a few of the mentioned names where, or Sam confirming the Anne sex. V11, got it from here. No URM or anything, though I will probably add URM.
Since I am posting now, might as well say I am enjoying the story so far. I do agree with previous poster the I would sure like some questions answered. I not very far in so hopefully they will be soon. Really like Anne and Jessica, like the MC as well. Also, do we ever find out who was the unknown number who called Daine before the welcome party, or did I miss something?
Ohh one more thing, does MC ever find out Lupe spit in the coffee? That really hurt her character for me and a apology would be appreciated.

The unknown number isn't super important. It isn't explicitly said, but it's Sam using her work phone.
Lupe doesn't ever tell him that she spat in his coffee, though I feel like that would be a huge non-issue for him because

Thanks for the reply. I'm a little further and got to a very inconsistent event. He had already seen Rose at the Dive during a few events, then started Intelligence Gig, where Daine says this is the first time seeing her thereHi there! Thank you for bringing that up! Fucking Great (pun intended) One of the few games out there that captivated me essentially for its story and not its "scenes" will definitely see where it is going

When I decided to be a pretentious artist that didn't think of the long term ramifications for the game size down the line.10 gigs
I'm learning a lot while making Detached.
That said, if you have 0.11.0, the update patch is much smaller.

I love the writing and the characterizations, especially the relationships Daine has with a few of the Ladies, but having Diana and Kyle has now given me some sort of weird hope that something happens with either one of them - because both Diana and Kyle would absolutely saying that Daine would just be playing with himself
Diana's last 2 events (life sucks, living in your shadow) can play before her first one (fatherless)
