I don't get it, the girl's model is a lot better than most of the Renpy Koikatsu slop I have seen on this site.
The dev could easily rake in thousands of dollars by making one of those VNs and have one animation per new update.
Bam, easy money. Instead they have to make this Resident Evil ripoff to torture us with its terrible gameplay.

Then again, consider this game's premise, maybe it's for the better that they don't make a game that's dependent on story.

I'm actually just downloading this because of the negative reviews in order to see for myself how shitty the controls and gameplay are^^

ALRIGHT EVERYONE! I just finished the whole game and have gotten 100% of the scenes and all of the outfits, if someone could let me know where the save file is stored I'll upload a save for everyone!

I would've thought so as well but all that's inside of there is a debug log, I tried moving that folder to a different location and ran the game but my save info was still there. If that was the save file than moving it from it's location would remove my save

Looks like its a registry entry, but I could be wrong.

Since I have yet to find where the save file is located I'll give you guys a small guide on the things that helped me beat the game.

>The name of the level is what item you'll need to find, this can be useful to remember for some level that have smaller items, e.g. the smartphone

>The number of biohazard symbols roughly represents the amount of zombies in the level, start with the 1 symbol level to learn the ropes. The zombies are randomly spawned, however, and I've had level 4 levels with like 3 zombies

>The goal of each level is to make it to the end, pick up the item then return to the guy at the start. The item will always be in the area where the camera no longer moves forwards or in the area immediately before that
>The game uses tank controls, that means that W will move the character towards where they're looking, not away from the camera, and A and D will turn her to HER left and right

>Holding Right Mouse will aim whatever weapon you have equipped, you need to be aiming in order to shoot

>Holding Right Mouse will have you aim to wherever your character is looking unless there is a zombie nearby in which case she'll lock onto them, this can be useful to tell if there are enemies ahead that might surprise you

>As far as I'm aware, every enemy is essentially the same, I have no clue if the damage is different but they all take the same amount of damage to kill

>Sometimes an enemy will get back up from the ground, you'll know they're dead when a pool of blood has formed beneath them

>Every enemy takes either 5 pistol shots or 2 shotgun shots to kill, the most efficient way I've found is 1 shotgun shot then 1 pistol shot, that'll kill them if you hit both

>Speaking of hitting shots, sometimes you'll miss. I'm pretty sure this is due to the enemy being diagonal from you and your character not accounting for them moving. That being said, however, I've had times where I've missed at near point-blank and I have no explanation for that, it's just bullshit

>The crawling zombies can be also take 5 pistol bullets to kill but they only take 1 shotgun shell so I'd recommend using that (btw you have to aim then hold S to hit the crawling ones, it'll look like you're just aiming at the floor but as long as they're not too far away you'll hit them)

>The boxes that you find can be broken with your knife and they can give you ammo and herbs to heal with, batteries can be found just scattered on the ground

>If you spam Left Mouse while being grabbed you'll break free faster, take less damage and knock back the zombies, dealing some damage (this will also kill the crawling ones instantly)

That's pretty much all I can think of for tips so here's some bugs and/or annoyances I've had;

>Opened inventory while the message for picking up an item was still on screen, didn't show my inventory and just locked my screen. Fixed it by hitting the inventory button again then clearing the message

>The camera system sucks ass, try to remember your exact route to the item when heading back to avoid just walking into the distance without triggering another camera angle

>After killing an enemy with the assault rifle I got stuck aiming and couldn't do anything. Don't know how to fix that one or what caused it, had to restart the level

> The shotgun starts with 10 shells loaded but can only reload up to a max of 3, no clue why this is that way

>Your character will start automatically reloading the shotgun after it's empty if you're not fast enough in moving or opening the inventory to swap it out, you can't move when reloading and I've died more than a few times to that

That's all that I can think of for now. I'd give this game an honest 5-6 out of 10 the gameplay is quite annoying at times but not that bad once you get used to it, the h-scenes are pretty good and definitely bump up the rating but imo it's not worth the 3.5 gb that the game takes up.

P.S. you can find the extra outfits just randomly on the ground in some levels, I have no clue what they look like since I've just stumbled across them each time and I don't know if they spawn on specific levels or if they're random (I also don't remember which levels I found them in since I wasn't paying attention.)

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\ASOBI\Detective Mikami\AC_MyNewGame_0_h667797201 is true. You can export by right clicking on export, choose all or single file rename and export the file with .reg extension, after my test if you delete this registry and its file all settings and saves of the game will be deleted.

I can help.
1. Press "Win+R" on your keyboard, type "regedit", then hit Enter. You will open the Registry Editor.
2. On top of the Address bar, remove whatever path is already in there, copy the following then hit Enter:
Code:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\ASOBI\Detective Mikami
3. You should see a list of entries on the right side of the editor, those are your save data.
4. Navigate to the top of the Registry Editor, Click "Files -> Export", give it a file name you like, then save it to a place you like.
5. Now you have a backup of your save data.

The game is ass. Tampering with the game code allowed me to finish it (+ create some scripts to turn off pixelization, etc -- I can share it if you need). Here is the registry, remove the .TXT and merge it.
May I ask for the scripts you made? Also, what did you do to the game code? I was looking to decode the save but didn't have luck modding the code. I am a newbie and would like to learn a bit;)

Character design and scenes look surprisingly decent for Koikatsu; but lmao the hat stays on during sex indeed.

Shame to learn from the comments that the gameplay does not hold up.

Hey I'd also like to know how you removed the pixelation. It might make choosing the different costumes actually worth it.
