Man, this site's not worth it anymore, fuck this. I miss the days when the most annoying part of browsing here was the fact that VNs and regular games weren't separated. Now it's all just slop with the occasional gem. All quantity, no quality.

The game is ass. Tampering with the game code allowed me to finish it (+ create some scripts to turn off pixelization, etc -- I can share it if you need). Here is the registry, remove the .TXT and merge it.

I saved it once and then tried to save it again, Before saving, click on save file type and then click all files. then delete the (1) should save it as a reg file

May I ask for the scripts you made? Also, what did you do to the game code? I was looking to decode the save but didn't have luck modding the code. I am a newbie and would like to learn a bit

I didn't edit the save directly, it requires some effort this game does not deserve. I completed the game via cheating. Here is the script. I left what might be useful to you and intentionally made it hardcoded. It makes you invincible, walk fast, have unlimited ammo (just take the empty rifle and shoot), removes pixelization effect, basically prevents flashlight battery from depleting and enhances it a little + maybe something else, I don't care.

Hey I'd also like to know how you removed the pixelation. It might make choosing the different costumes actually worth it.

It's implemented with PSXShaderKit (PSXPostProcessEffect)

Thanks for the hint about removing pixelization. I managed to bypass the graphics' dithering and interlacing effect also, revealing its original texture.
But it seems that even the original texture are not so high-res. Wish someone could come up with a way to upscale the graphics and maybe even replace the old-fashioned Resident Evil viewing camera with something more modern like FPS/TPS...

Replace the Assembly-CSharp.dll in <game folder>\Detective Mikami_Data\Managed

I'd bet you have hide file extensions ticked.
You need to show your file extensions in Filebrowser, then simply remove the .txt file extension.
