Someone not paying attention might say Grace too- but Grace seems to have some sort of major beef with one of Vali's old friends. I don't really think the Grace / Vali dynamic is a healthy one.

Killing him is no fun though- you lose a lot of power potential for the MC. Maybe you could subdue him or something- put him in stasis but still draw upon his power or knowledge.

Also, you lose a lot of narrative tension if he dies too- cause 70% of the fun with him is trying to figure out what things he says are true and what things he says are bullshit- with the added layer of the fact that he *could* help you a ton- if he chose too.

Sure. But the idea that he could get out and cause trouble is a fun tension.

Abstract of that layer, the fact that if Vali wasn't in the protagonist , the MC will b weak as fuck in a magical world. MC needs to bleed Vali of his knoweldge and skill before he gets rid of him... and even then we don't know if the MC might meet some even bigger danger than Vali in the future. Hell destroying Vali early might end up being an auto-loss for the MC- since the MC is unarguably stronger as a Warlock than he would be alone.

Sure- MC-Kun is playing with fire- but you gotta play with fire to burn something. Its a path forward; a risky path forward, but MC-kun does have leverage.

I think so too. I think Vali used one of the types of reincarnation spells that grants a blank slate, pretty much like standart reincarnation, so I theorize he is the MC and is not at the same time, the only diff is that he managed to store his memories and send to this new slate, could argue that it's a memory construct that he made to pass on knowledge and etc. He'll prob mesh at some point, but Neo Vali acts on his own will. At least from what I've seen so far, gonna play the update now.
