I've had issues with this guy from nearly the beginning of development. He initially wanted me to add NTR (specifically netorare) content for Glasha, I said no. I have no interest in creating that content, and it wouldn't make any sense for her character at all. He got pissy about it. He later came back and sent me some DM's about how I should just do what he wants since I'm already "ripping off Talothral". Keep in mind, this is like 2 years ago or something after 0.2 release.

Since then, he occasionally came back to DM me some random complaint or bullshit. I viewed him as annoying but harmless. I eventually ended up banning him from the first discord because he kept spam asking for NTR content. When I created the second one, I didn't even think to ban him because I hadn't had any interaction with him for months.

The other day, I was talking to someone in discord, and I meant to post a picture of the amount that a pc repair place wanted to fix my graphics card here in Japan. I accidentally chose the wrong photo and posted a selfie that my wife sent me of herself and the kids. I don't think it was up that long, but however long it was, it was enough. I guess he saw his time to shine, and he used that one photo to track down a ton of my personal shit. Social media profiles, old photos, photos of my kids, my old work on twine games, my parents and sister's address. It was a lot of stuff.

Anyway, I don't know much about the guy other than he is a member of Talothral's server. I doubt he has any connection at all to Talothral, other than joining his server. For all I know, he might be harassing him too. I don't know as I don't remember ever having any interaction with Talothral. I also really can't understand how or why he's held onto this grudge for so long. It's way beyond petty, it's psychotic. He hasn't threatened me or my family physically, only to expose us and report this all to my wife's job, which could very well lead to her getting fired.

Either way, this ruined things for me. It's sucked all the fun out of things, especially because I've tried to be kind to everyone I interacted with. Making some fun porn isn't worth the harrassement. Sorry I couldn't finish the game. I doubt I'll hang around the VN space anymore, much less develop something. You can consider this officially abandoned. Once again, I appreciate all your guys who I had positive interactions with, but I can't risk my family's livelihood and wellbeing for a hobby.

What the asshole did is beyond infuriating, and I'm sorry that he sucked the fun out of it for you, as you're incredibly talented as both a writer and game designer. I hope that you eventually find that inspirational spark again, and encourage you to keep hold of any notes/code that you've already done so that you don't have to start from scratch - but honestly, even if you DO start from a new game, I'd love to know about it!

Beyond that, I wish you all the best, and hope that everything goes well for you - you deserve it!

It is really a shame that all this has happened and that you lost your hobby/job cause of such a person... i am still somehow in disbelive how mentally ill some people really are (i can understand when somebody dont like some contents or want her fetish in a game they like but hell the dev has the last word when you cant stand the directioin damn scream, cry, make a hate poste whatever but just stop playing and move on (did that myself in some games when an update suddenly revealed something i could not stand) but holy hell how can somebody fall so low to threathen a dev over a fucking game... i shure hate the whole internet controll and restictions nowdays but damn such an individual should be monitored what would happen when you met someone like this on the street and have suddenly a knife between the ribs cause the way you looked at him...)

sorry for the wall of text (and the grammar/typos its 4:30 am here need sleep XD) but i hope you can recover get the support of your family and still have fun to tinker around in with rendersoftware maybe even make it only as hobby into a finished game with even without adult content (was not really needet your game was carried by the story) and release it on steam or a similar platform so you dont have to fear the bias from being an porn game dev.. i dont know but just move on and be happy

I will miss your work honestly this being canceled is worse than firefly for me, but I understand your reasons.

I have seen many promising games get abandoned for various reasons, but this is by far the craziest one. Some people with the morbid fascination of some fetish just want to colonize every game they like with said fetish. It's such a shame that this game gets abandoned, but I totally understand the reason and hope that the dev and his family will get through this shit. Dev should really expose this unhinged stalker and let the online nature run its course.

Not going to lie this suck I like this game(like a lot) and my bad luck strikes again and it's cancelled. It's frustrating but this is for the craziest reason, much potential in this but your safety and sanity always come first. Well, let's hope somebody will continue or make something similar.

It's never good idea for someone else to continue with abandoned game, better for them to start new game. Since unless they got extensive notes from the dev and had regular conversations on how the plot and such would develop, it would feel quite jarring.
