now with more content its easier to analyse where this will go.
so, its a dude that discovers he enjoy and distress with his wife into the hands of another man.
still its too early to see where this will go and how it will form.
at this moment I feel the communication with Mc&Wife is lacking. do he trust her? do they have honest communication?

so, this game could go into the "cheating wife" route, and let the Mc not know.
it could also go full cuckold route, where the wife knowingly is doing whatever she wants, she knows he get hard. but do she want to have another man? the MC is insecure, will the wife ignore it and just fall into depravity?
it could also go into that the MC is proposing what to do and wife follows his perversions. that for me would be the best route, so the MC is in charge and not the wife. we will see...

I have no problem with supporting patreon (in fact I've support several projects), but c'mon.

Yo wtf false advertising, where's my dirty smut porn game about a loving couple with a devoted wife? Some of us wanna masturbate furiously to how much our girl loves and would never betray us while shoving a cucumber up her butt for our entertainment

yeah NTR games(and NETORASE, which here is called Sharing <- saying bc there are a few nitpicky brats who complain that people say NTR for both cuckolding and sharing) got into this trend of calling their games something cute and wholesome as a bait...

which is a weakass bait if you ask me, bc it fails the second someone is smart enough to check the overview or the tags

at least here the devotion is about what the wife is willing to do just to please her husband

like i said: it's their way to bait people(who don't read tags) at this point
Eh, less bait and more a trope. NTR devs know their audience, and I highly doubt the super vanilla sounding name is genuinely meant to trick people who otherwise were legitimately looking for a vanilla experience. For one, that's giving them way too much credit for trying to be clever. Most NTR fans will seemingly enjoy garbage-tier content, so long as somebody is getting cucked. Why put the work into a false-flag bait campaign to attract non-fans, when legit fans are happy to eat slop already?

I prefer slow corruption and fall from grace narratives myself, a comparative minority to all the 'alpha male' monster-cocks and turbo-sluts that permeate most of the content flagged as NTR around here.

Why? Occam's razor: the most simple answer is usually the right one

that's why my guess is about titles being baits(because it sounds simple enough for me)

Except it's not. That's not how Occam's Razor works. It's not meant to just pick whichever sounds the simplest, especially without much actual consideration. For example, to theists, god's existence is the simplest answer to them. Because the vast majority of them have never contemplated the inconsistencies and logical fallacies involved with a supposedly omni-benevolent creator and the actual existence of things like genocide and baby cancer.

EDIT: Here's a concise definition, so that we're working on the same page.
"What is Occam's razor? Occam's razor is a principle of theory construction or evaluation according to which, other things equal, explanations that posit fewer entities, or fewer kinds of entities, are to be preferred to explanations that posit more."

The simplest answer in this case is that it is a trope. The devs are following the herd. NTR fans know what to expect from such a title, and NTR devs are happy to play into it.

Using a vanilla title as bait assumes that there is some subversive plot to trick non-fans into playing something not meant for them. What's the goal here? Trolling? If the point is to get new people to try the game (with the end goal being monetary returns), tricking them and making them resentful is not the thing to do if you're looking for more patrons.

So the bait angle require more far out there assumptions and leaps of logic. It is therefore less probable, compared to people just trend chasing and using established tropes/genre norms.

TL;DR - Lazy trend chasing and following genre norms requires fewer assumptions than some bait conspiracy to trick normies and vanilla-fans into trying cuck porn, and is therefor the more probable answer according to Occam's Razor.

yeah but your answer doesn't make sense...i mean it makes sense, i mean your guess about why such use of cute titles for NTR-games doesn't make sense, the rest is pretty much on point

i mean using a trope that doesn't work, confuses people and ultimately disappoints them? doesn't make sense, and even then, what the NTR-lovers would get from such title?XD

But the trope exists. It's why this user posted this comment, because they noticed it too.

I come into conclusion. 'Wife/Marriage' in the title = NTR

There are plenty of NTR games out there with demure, almost sarcastic, titles that absolutely undersell or subvert what the game actually is. My Lovely Mom, Perfect Marriage, Watching My Wife, A Couples Duet of Love and Lust, Holding Hands, The Adventurous Couple, OnlyHer, etc. That's why it is a trope, exactly because a lot of games with some reference to 'wife', 'fidelity', and 'happiness' are games that contain cheating, infidelity, and cuckoldry.

thatsthejoke.jpg

When an NTR fan sees a game with a title like this one has, they get the in-joke. The title was picked by the NTR developer to cater to the sensibilities of the NTR fanbase. If you didn't get the joke, then clearly it wasn't meant for you.

Unless they are a Japanese game dev, in which case they'll put 'NTR' verbatim into their paragraph long title; because they wouldn't understand the concept of brevity if Shakespeare himself rose from his grave and shoved his necrotic foot up their collective asses.

if the cuck was a major asshole, i wouldn't mind XD
You'd love "The Edge Of" then. I've never seen a more deserving asshat of a protag for getting brutally cucked by thier taken for granted thicc af GF, Than Sam from that game. smh. I was rooting for NTR-kun that whole game, despite being forced to play from Sam's perspective. It's a unique experience.

I've read all the comments and really appreciate all your constructive criticisms/feedbacks.
I've also received few suggestions or ideas from players that will help improve the user experience.
Thanks to your comments, I can now identify what parts of my game needs improvement.

I know NTR games get a lot of hate around the internet, but I hope you know a lot of us love the work you put into your art. This game is really good, I and I see a lot of potential if you stick with things. Looking forward to future updates dev!

A very good way to put it. The gentle fall from perfect loving wife, to shy but willing to please, to eager for sex is a rare site. Most likely because it takes so much plot development and actual planning and dev time, that most NTR game devs get burned out before getting close to the end goal. Even the big players like the Adventurous Couple and My Wife's a Star and the like have all but pretty much lost steam at this point. Most of them just end up giving up, and coasting on patreon money, dropping 1 or 2 updates every few months

I really like The Adventurous Couple, and really don't have any complaints about it, other than it's renders and writing not being all that great at time. Still, great premise, and there is always something happening.

My Wife's a Star is a game that I love the specific content, but I hate the game itself. It just needs to be a branching path VN. The pseudo-management Unity game they have in there just to make you waste your time clicking through days and days of nothing happening in the hopes that a event will occur? That shit needs to be taken out back and put down like Old Yeller.

But top billing has to go to Seeds of Chaos. If you can dig the dark fantasy ascetic, it's got some of the best corruption content out there, for both the MC and their significant other. A game where your wife might be fucking your demon lord boss, but that's cool cause you're fucking that demon lord's sister (and the rest of the countryside to boot).
