the results i looked up on google implied its only 2x in mv not 2x+1
So, if my current mana is 10 in the cheat engine I would scan for 20 and if it goes let's say from 10 to 9 my next scan will be 18. Also scan type should be Exact value, and the Value type should be four bytes?

search for current mana x 2 +1, then do something that changes it, then search again,
but apparently, mv only doubles the number

if you have rpgmaker mv itself you can just run the game through that and hit f9
How can you run the game through rpgmaker mv?

its a variable so cheat engine should do the trick with the number x 2 +1 thing to locate the number
That method only works for VX Ace and earlier. It was changed for MV and MZ. Also doing the "2x" method doesn't seem to work for me either. The F9 method or just using a save editor works fine.

Also, using MTool on the game fails to change some stuff too, HP included in my case. Modding the cards you had access to was already doing plenty.

if you want the easiest time scanning any game with Cheat Engine, just set it to "all" when you know what value you're looking for. Then enter the amount and search.

If you don't know, use "unknown initial value" instead and only use "Increased value", "Decreased Value", or "Unchanged value" to pinpoint it.

takes quite a bit of trial and error to get used to the 2nd method tho.

hp is a picture, as are the mana crystals, i think the enemy versions use mp but its a variable when the player does

How about using other engines? Like unity? Rpg tools are easy, but has a strong limitation.
that wont change me having to make a lot of live2d and card art to even make a demo

I can at least use live2d in game maker now so at least i can actually code unlike being stuck in rpgmaker

Guess the biggest problem is live2d pictures.... well, since I don't know how live2d works, so I can not say anything with that.
Maybe building a long term game Like other game developers? Making a long story game by showing a series of demo like version 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and adding changelogs? That way you can take some time working with live2d and various types of other characters, story and etc. Of course the same problem of drawing and your effort could be added but i think it would be worth it. Since dickdown dual was a unique and one of the only games with card dual system(and it shows nearly a perfect battle system) i am sure a ton of people will come and wait for it.

live2d is actually a godsend, since it lets me get animations out of a bit more effort compared with drawing a simple pic
its the drawing in general thats painful for me.
ever since i found my talent in coding i became painfully aware of how much energy i have to put into drawing, its never fun and its never what it was in my head. i cant even draw chibis consistently

the only long term game ive ever completed was damsel quest 3, which took a year to finish and caused a 5 year long burnout.
at the start of dq3 i made the demo in 2 weeks, which involved drawing at least 20 pictures
by the end i was barely drawing one picture a month

making dickdown duel was the only other time i had anything resembling those first 2 weeks where i managed to do 2 live2d models 2 days in a row 3 times in a 2 week period to finish the game, like day 1 id do the main battle live2d and 2nd day id do the defeat lying on the ground model (after battle not mating press)

but i mean to even make a demo of a slay the spire style thing, id need live2d for the 1/3 characters, at least another model for the boss game over, and 40+ card arts, then whatever id need for events

it makes me wish i could use spine pro but every time ive tried i havent even fully rigged anything because the software is completely annoying to use

p.s
i wish i knew why cosplay crisis was such a flop. it was so fun to make but i didnt have time to wait for wishlists to build, so now im just wasting away drowning in my own dying motivation and eroding skills.
i was working on sylphy 3 when my mother doubled my rent and rendered it impossible for me to finish a game before running out of money (feb is probably the last month i'll be able to pay but i've been struggling to feed myself since there are no cheap meals i can eat every day, i like spicy instant noodles but the spice is bad for me so i cant have it consecutively)

cosplay crisis doesn't even have a thread on here, thats how much of a flop it apparently is

Well for my opinion vampire survivor style games are not fit for ero games. Since the games are designed for long term waiting. People are not willing to wait a long time sitting in the chair with their pants off. In contrast, dm3 and dickdown are more of a better selection because it has a battle-fuck system which show H scenes with just a short play time.(and of course follows with a longer playtime too)
And with the drawing, what i can suggest is using ai. First use the ai and continue your coding and then replace it with your original drawing when you want to, or have the time. Plus, you can give a selection at the beginning of the game so the player can choose either your drawing or the ai for the cg of the game.

p.s
And a good written story could ignore any of the parts above.

intriguing Gameplay, Terrible way of presenting itself, Good art, Unexpectedly plentiful in content, and .....what's the word.... Grindy? in more of an annoying way. Overall, It's unexpectedly great.

The game looks and plays like someone's side project that was an unexpected gem.

Crikey, I thought i was missing the one that didn't exit the room and went on a detailed inspection of everything.
the one in the room with guitars is just someone based on the idea that if i were nat, that person would have a place

I'd been wanting to make lewd yugioh for years then suddenly realised i could, havent been that motivated AND productive since i first started damsel quest 3 before it caused me to have burnout for 6 years
