actually the adult only version and the AA version are packaged together so you can just play one after you finish the other.

So in the end what you already seen in the All ages edition, there's even in the +18 version. Just with, of course, the h-scenes, if I understand correctly? Nothing more?

The additional content from all ages (epilogues and new route) is not in the 18+ version (Acta est Fabula). It basically comes down to choice: want to see h-scenes, read AeF version; want to see add content, read Amantes Amentes version (without porn of course). I didn't read the AeF version, so I can't opinate on the h-content, but I always find the porn rather weak for those story centered games.

Start with installing Dies Irae al ages (available from

Copy install dir to Dies Irae 2 or whatever name you like.

Copy 18+ patch to Dies Irae copy dir.

Best way is to do the routes following the walkthrough at fuwanovel.

Start first route (Kasumi) in 18+ to get the h-scenes and play till end of route, then start up the all ages version and just skip through the same route (f7 instant skip to next choice), straight till end so you unlock the sidestories.

Read sidestories in order as they appear in the walkthrough.

Start second route (Kei) 18+ rinse and repeat.

Only extra in girl route in the all ages version is the second Rhea route, this is made by another writer.

You probably dont have to "play-skip" the all ages version if you can find a 100% save somewhere

Actually many scenes have been changed for all ages version that are not mentioned here, making some of them "new" scenes (Rape of sister Lisa by "something" comes to mind).

I don't understand what you are meaning with current way.

Afaik there is only one way to play the 18+ version that is by dl-ing the dx package containing malie_fabla.exe" and "data4.dat.

These files have to be added to an existing all ages version.

I was just trying to say in what order to play if you want full experience, namely the extra sidestories and Rhea route from AA version and h-scenes from 18+.

After doing some more research, it looks like it is the patched Acta est Fabula version that let's you choose between 4:3 and 16:9 while the all ages version does not let you for some reason. Still pretty weird that they have made this "patch" like this.
