Colored is almost guaranteed to appeal better to the broader audience. No real denying that.
Personally I'm not in this for the artwork though. I'm in it for the stories. My personal biggest pet peeve is games that push a single 20 minute update every 6 months because they spent like 2 weeks per render to make the random image with 0 story impact look good enough to eat off off. When I'm just going to be too busy reading to notice it, and then click off it like 2 seconds later.
But based on the direction most of the lewd games genre is going. I'm guessing preferring "fit for purpose" art over "mouthwatering art" is an unpopular opinion.
Just as an aside, only about 2% of the population has green eyes and about the same % are gingers. Making the odds of actual green eyed ginger about 1/2500 people. Which you certainly wouldn't guess based on how omnipresent they are in erotic novels and lewd games.
I appreciate the feedback, thanks. I'm still experimenting with that, but I really don't aim for "polished" artwork to eat up most of my time, coming up with the initial drawing is still the biggest part of the process.
I guess it's a delicate balance to be found between the resources needed and the net positive it yields ; I do think the demo art style does not feel "finished" enough and it might be off-putting or at least not appealing enough for a lot of people. I definitely may be wrong though !
I can confirm however that quality of the story and script will be the main focus of the game, as dialogs will be the main form of storytelling.
The "statistical anomaly" feedback is also duly noted, the design is not final yet though I'm pretty set on red hair.
Thanks again !
