OK. I've watched the game and I don't really like it the way it is.
The beginning is way too long. By the time you can do anything at all, I fell off my chair.
And there is also a lack of connection to the characters.
Overall, "The Headmaster" did that much better.
Nonetheless, it's not amiss if "The Headmaster" has competition.
It is said that competition stimulates business.
As the game progresses, the original doesn't have to worry.
But if the game gets a little more coherence here, with better visuals, animations, and significantly less text at the start, then it could pull through.
What I personally miss in the original are boys.
They'll still come in, if I've understood that correctly, but only in the case of punishments and then not with all girls.
As far as the story goes, it's similar because it's based on the original. I would actually recommend something else here. The school principle itself is welcome. I like the topic.
So overall the concept is ok. And the fact that it's a clone doesn't really bother me either. It can stay based on the original, but I would still rework the whole thing, which as it is now is simply not attractive enough to play.
But like I said, competition is good for business, so stay tuned.
Personally, I would be interested in what it would look like in a mixed school or an all-boys school. Is there a Headmistress? Who knows.
But there is leeway, because the original also mentions other schools that have adopted the concept. Maybe that would be a good approach to develop such a game. And who knows, these two schools may have to compete against each other. That would be a pretty interesting 3rd game to come up with. For my part, I would celebrate.
