Oh, that was an attempt from my part to play with silhouettes given that's it's more of a fantasy/bad daydream, but I'll keep it mind and maybe try a different approach in the future. If I may suggest an improvement, some renders are very dark, like the last one of the samples on this very page, it's almost impossible to see what's going on.
Hmmmm...Since she already has given herself over to girllust, perhaps have new content be about her seducing or otherwise turning on the girl buttons in the women in her life that are unaware of her recent lusty focus: Friends, rivals (such as wives of previous boyfriends), family (sisters, mother, aunt nieces), Married friends, young women (students, girls that go to her old high school). That sort of naughtiness. Nervous at first in her seductions, becoming more accomplished as she goes. Suggestion.
Oh, that's for sure! This was very nice. I get the impression this wasn't the first time for Eve?
Thank you so so much for the answer! I did consider making the whole program run at 2560x1280 (currently it's at 2560x1440 with the bars baked in), but was worried about the UI getting too distorted. I saw it as a "compromise" between the two options, considering the 2:1 isn't as invasive as something like 2:35 or 2:39 which are more "cinematic", but I do agree that for some having the bars baked in must be more annoying than for others, and maybe the original plan was the better approach. I'll probably try that considering the poll seems to be fairly close, but will still be keeping an eye on the reception to see if I'll have to settle with 16:9 going forward (which would be a bit dissapointing because I've toyed with the idea of using different aspect ratios for different stories).Since there's a poll: here's my thoughts regarding the black bars. I like the use of uncommon aspect ratios, but they shouldn't be artificially wrapped into another aspect ratio with black bars. I have an ultrawide monitor and I HATE how most movie trailers have letterboxing baked into them. It means that even if you watch them on a screen with the correct ratio, the image will still be framed by black bars and will be much smaller than it should be. Many phone screens have a 21:9 ratio now too. Renpy already adds black bars as needed to fit your screen, so I think that baking them into the images is a bad idea.
But overall, the ratio wasn't anything too crazy and the bars didn't really detract from the experience at all.
Yeah, I guess things wound up somewhat tame in the end here, I just didn't want to go too far out for my first time. But I am intent on spicing things up moving forward!Very well done short visual novel, but for me it was boring, lesbians and what, there is no spicy things
Personally, I hope you keep it lesbian only. Sure, spice it up with more participants, and a wider range of sex scenes, but don't suddenly switch that up after bringing in the audience that prefers lesbian only with your first release.Yeah, I guess things wound up somewhat tame in the end here, I just didn't want to go too far out for my first time. Oh, nono. Don't get me wrong, this story and these characters will remain F/F focused. With "spicing things up" I was referring to making the sex scenes less "simple", so to speak.Personally, I hope you keep it lesbian only. OMG, that's so cool! Thank you so much! For your first vn, this is a good start, your story telling so far is spot on, your renders a decent quality, nothing bad to say about them, the black lines, don't bother me, I wish you all the best for the future of your game
As a thank you, I have made a profile signature for you and anyone that wants to show your game to the community, if you like me to make any other sigs, just let me know, happy to make some for you

What can I say, female protagonist with lesbianism, I ain't gonna miss outI just knew I'd find you on this page, too. :*
Same, girl, same! What can I say, female protagonist with lesbianism, I ain't gonna miss out
Thank you so much for the input!!First of all, (belated) congratulations on your first (?) release and thank you for sharing your project with us.
I haven't tried Discovering Herself yet (I'm downloading it right now), but I wanted to make two remarks:
1. (Version number) nomenclature
It's common in the software industry (not only in the adult games sector ) for a finished product to be released with the version number 1.0.
Since Discovering Herself is (I assume) not yet a completed VN, but "only" a first version, it would be better to name your version 0.1 - and the subsequent versions 0.2, 0.3, etc. - until your VN is completed as version 1.0 - or you have released more than 10 versions (in that case you'd continue with 1.1, 1.2, etc.).
In the case of bug fixing, the revised versions would be named either 0.1.1 or 0.1a, etc.
That way you avoid people coming into this thread having exaggerated expectations:
"Oh, a 1.0 - that means it's completed or already has a crazy amount of content."
2. Image format and file size
I see that your first version is a whopping 1.15 GB - that's a lot and means either that your first version has an extensive amount of content or (more likely) that you are using an image format that is quite taxing in terms of file size.
Whilst this is not a major problem at the moment, it could become one in the future.
Imagine your project in one or two years from now after 10 releases with 10 times the amount of images and maybe even animations - your VN will easily become 10, 15 or even 20 GB in size.
Apart from the memory required, many people (especially those with poorer internet) will be discouraged from giving your VN a try.
Sure, there are always helpful people around who are willing to make and share compressed game versions with a fraction of the original file size, but I wouldn't count on it.
It's therefore better to switch to a more efficient image format now to prevent these future problems.
As far as I know, webp is the preferred image format over jpeg and png (because it saves space) - I'm no specialist though, but I'm sure there are more experienced people around here who can give useful advice in this regard.
I hope my comments don't come across as patronising - that's not my intention.
If you want to stick to your nomenclature or image format, that's perfectly fine, too.
Cheers!
