October is also my kid's birthday month and November is my wife's. I can skip my own birthday like I did some months ago but I can't for these two.

TIL it's impossible to do anything productive for a full month when a family member has a birthday. My girlfriend's birthday is next month, guess I'd better call up my job and tell them I can't make it in to work until January.

This is the most obvious attempt at a Patreon milking excuse I've seen I think. Or at least, it ranks up there for sure. It's sad, I had high hopes for this game too.

The dev has done literally nothing in the two years that the game has been on patreon. You can tell after his pledges went down after sitting on their ass they got scared the gibs would stop coming and just comissioned some art. They didn't post for what like 6 months to a year then suddenly had a whole set of animations which haven't been changed or updated since, right? I mean look at the last two "changelogs." I'm shocked one of the og scammers has still stuck around for so long. Other than redamz most, if not all, are gone.

edit; they've also pulled the sick so many times i can't count bit as well as the birthday thing and other people being sick thing

I am really not that shocked. Eromancer is still there too.

If Patreon did something with reports for scam, they wouldnt do this, but I assume that they could argue that if someone pays, is because they dont mind getting scammed so its on them.

Pretty much yeah. Been proven time and time again sadly, but it really is on the goobers that keep paying I suppose lol.

I just went through ViperV's graphtreon and their patreon update posts and yep, as soon as they took a 300 patreon dip they immediately put a new 'demo' out. hmmmmmmm. wonder if there will be another 'revamp' once their patreon takes another inevetibale nosedive.

It'd be funny if somebody were to swoop in and make their own patreon review/grading site that just takes the piss out of devs like viperv ever so often like how often they deliver on promises or 'become sick' scale. (3 sneezy noses out of 5)

As a Patreon I have 0 issue with the dev taking a while to release anything. The game has actual gameplay and the animations are among the best I've seen in H games it's not just some point-click-fap kind of game.

I doubt this game would progress enough to the point that the demo would get a boss, i'll just wait 2 or 3 more years and between those years, i might see some more drama from like before, getting hit by a storm would probably stop you from getting the project done or post any progress in 2 months

And since he's from the Philippines... i think i know how this would end up soon enough, i know how these kind of people work around, they tend to do whatever it takes to get the most of the bargain, getting advantage of the deal in the end, its like these people who pay their money is just licking up his boots with sweet little lies, i mean no proper developer of a porn game would actually stall time by having poll votes for requests for a new and fresh animator to draw non-relevant characters of the demo, seriously? i may not know much about how someone who can draw on how long it would take them to get a hang of drawing a character, but derpixon drew her character in many different art styles and pulled most of it in just maybe a day or more and then post it on twitter, hell derpy should actually have gotten more credit for the work than this dude who has a thousand of patreons paying his rent, and that's a lot of money even if its just a dollar per patreon.

Just a tip for this ViperV if ever this person reads my post:
Get your fucking shit together, stop wasting other people's money and time with your bullshit, even if you say that you are going to take your time making this shit up, doesn't mean you have to fool these people who pays money for your bullshit, this ain't gonna go well for you in the near future trust me, Karma will bitch you up

In no way am I defending Viper, but he has a giant disclaimer put up ever since the start of 2017, that states that the project might not progress quickly, and people still chose to support him. I think that flaming him for "milking patrons" is kinda invalid, since people chose to be dumb enough to support him even after reading the giant disclaimer.

Also I think he doesn't care about what forums like us say, because there was a fiasco over this exact reason on ULMF back in october 2017. He was there and he was trying to make himself look good, but failed miserably. Ended up getting the thread deleted and himself banned off of the site.

Also, since Chris Armin is no longer working on the animations, I seriously doubt anyone will match his quality. so yea, there's that

This is like a Fallout 76 scam, but ViperV is just trying too hard to make up a story in order for others to accept the fact that they sucked his boots all that time and that he's innocent, i say well played! for the act ofc, but for the whole issue? nope.

These people are giving him another chance, if he messes this up entirely, i do hope Patreon would give this guy a ban hammer, i seriously doubt him, and this is coming from someone who literally didn't even paid money to support him (ofc i wasn't, i saw it coming, the shitstorm) AND from the look of it, he's just stalling for time again, even so if he didn't made his posts on patreon public (saw some previous post that was public then got changed into a patreon only post) i still doubt it contains something like a news that he's going to start prep for the project, yes, a lot of doubts.

There's a lot of developers out there who has shitty quality when it comes to making porn games such as this one, yet they deliver for what they think is the price worthy of their product's quality and content, yet this guy is on patreon, 3 years his game is still a demo, then the former animator quit (maybe he's not paying Chris enough) and then there is a need to change the animations ingame, seriously? I know 1 dollar is a small price to pay each month, and these people knows what they are doing, even though they are idiots, but i do hope they realize something, that a Patreon content creator should post updates about the progress of their project for a few times each month, and this guy clearly, 1 whole month, no progress whatsoever, no updates about if they are getting started into the animation, and just taking their sweet little time to get as much $$$ as possible, for this year to end.

Yeah, i am complaining too much for someone that didn't even paid a dime to this guy just to see his posts, but i've made my point in saying that if you are eager enough to see this guy progresses on this project and how it will go, so be it, spend a few dollars, and its fine. but i'm not really pursuing people to stop being a patreon for this guy, i just want people to realize that this guy has a past, so don't even think about being so generous as to pledging more than a dollar, its a waste of time, effort, and money, better spend it on Studio F.O.W. tons of shit to see there.

Well, fuck. Yesterday I downloaded the game and... well... Godammit. Now that I get fixed on the game and the animations, I just read that Chris dropped the job and the animations to come are going to be shittier. I love the game's game, it's good, like old good rpg, and the animations are OP, such beauty... a shame what happened but I have hopes that this game will be better.
