No it's not racism, ignorant kid. I've been living in Japan for two years. I know how they are. Besides, once again, wrap your head around this fact: they are a collectivist society, the only possible case in which you can say "these people are this and that" because, again, they are COLLECTIVIST. In fact, I've seen how they are incredibly good at working in groups (no kidding, they're amazing) but completely useless when alone and without a proper acting protocol. So yeah, I think I'm in a position in which I can say this stuff without an offended ignorant like you telling me what I can or cannot say. It's not racism, is damned reality.
Reality isn't confirmation bias. You living there for two years doesn't dictate that the people you met there speak for the whole collective.
Does Japan's society trend towards collectivism? Sure. Does that mean everyone there is collectivist by default and categorically? No.
You also have to understand that social etiquette outside doesn't dictate how people act in the home- in fact, a lot of Japenese society is based around acting a lot nicer outside and letting loose inside the comfort of your own home. Something you should know, since you live there, yeah?
You know what else I could say? Man, the people I had in high school were really good at group projects, but sucked individually. That's a true statement, unless you want to argue my memory. Does that mean every person in belgium is a collectivist like you seem to believe? Does your personal experience speak for a whole society- a whole country?
It does not. Therefor, painting an entire people as one thing is, if not racist, at least grossly oversimplifying and negligent at best. Maybe "Mansplaining" would be a more palatable term for you, since you like speaking on behalf of others so much?
