this game is GREAT but please when is the next update?

are renders this difficult?

Hi guard123 :D

glad you liked it, but are renders that difficult...hmm...it depends on the renderer i guess. for me, its quite hard lol :D for some of the key renders (renders that are very different in cam angle or pose from the previous ones), it would take me about 3-5 hours per render on a good day. once those key renders are good, the transition renders (renders where the cam angle don't change, and the movement is very slight, is quite fast ( 30 minutes per renders maybe)

why does it take that long ? well, apart from life problems (part time job to do, preparation for part time jobs lol, just broke my glasses couple days ago), the difficulty is usually the lighting.

the lighting needs to be good and not "flat" or "uninteresting" on each render and this means that each cam angle/major pose change needs careful adjustment of the lights :D this usually takes > 1 hour to get it to look good enough 0_0; the more difficult part is actually making sure that the lights are consistent from renders to renders. for example "if that side is that bright in the previous render, then it needs to be the same brightness on the next". the problem is...if i just reuse the same lighting scheme as the previous one, usually the shadows are just bad (example : no highlight on the the eyes etc)

once thats all done, i would then test those renders in a kind of slideshow while playing out the dialogue in my head. in this part, sometime some problems would come up, like "the change of pose is too abrupt" --> make more transition renders

another thing that often crops up in this is the camera angle. the camera angle for each successive renders needs to have a logical sense of movement in pace with the scene (example: the camera can't jump around, rotating > 90 degree from the previous renders, unless its a fighting scene or a dialogue scene where someone exclaims something/something surprising happens. otherwise it would be like watching those artsy, experimental movies with shaky cams all around lol). or, sometime its the angle itself, for example, while watching the slideshow, sometime only at that point that i realize that the angle feels like a documentary movies (flat, wide, scenery :D). this would then require me to adjust the angle to focus on ...boobs for example lol (more often than not, its usually the eyes though hahaha :D), by placing it on the thirds lines, and perhaps add some tilt to the cam angle to make it more disturbing (this is usually done on illa's scenes. she is usually shown with a slight tilt in the cam angle to give a sense of wrongness/unnaturalness in the scene. if i'm lucky, this doesn't require a lighting change. i'm not a lucky person most of the time lol :D

those are the..technical challenges. the mental challenges is (i'll be honest here lol), i'm too critical of my own works (impostor syndrome lol :D)

i hope that answers your question :D currently, i am adding the finishing touches for the transition renders of the sex scene. but, tbh, i've been failing to make a good enough renders for my standard for a couple of days, and that is my current problem. its a...mental/mindset problem, tbh :D

lol, and this doesn't touch the problem of animation and writing a good enough dialogue and texts :D

anyway, here are some renders as a sign of gratitude for your interest :D some of this are ingame, while some are my weekly "i need to do something else" renders that i posted in my patreon and discord:D

edit : i think there are more renders that i haven't posted to f95, but i can't remember which one -_-a. my discord are the most up to date place to get my renders, but don't expect any convos there lol :D its a quiet server

thanks! :D

Appreciate your thorough response!

For the dialogue, idk if you are willing to try but creating text and dialogue is difficult. If you want to, you can use AI scripts as it would generate a whole bunch of text that you can then just edit it down to make it easier on yourself and also save time.

The rendering makes sense especially the lighting and angles. no point in a scene if you cant see the characters eyes in the dark.

Also, alot of the visitors to your thread and players to your game are more interested in the sex/porn scenes more than the non sex scenes within the game. ;)

Yeah, i'm already using ProWritingAid + GPT to generate alternatives way to write a sentence (both of these tends to focus on different way of creating alternatives, so it gives me more options to mix and match part of the sentence) :D it does help a lot since i'm not a native speaker so there's a tendency for me to use the same pattern of sentences over and over again if i don't go through it multiple times to make sure the sentences flow are good enough hahaha :D.

i usually also use the prowritingaid's review feature. but...i feel like it tends to give a too positive feedback lol :D

Currently i'm only using both of them on a sentence level though, not in paragraph and definitely not in dialogues, because i need to be careful with the pacing and consistency (i have a problem of repeating illa's description over and over again lol)

plus, due to the nature of the media (visual + text), sentences that might sound okayish in just text form sometimes ended up not syncing to what i want the player to notice in the render (example : illa's expression often changes from a smile when she's talking to the MC and changes to a scowl when she talks to another person. but, since the MC is not looking at her, i usually need to find another way for the MC to "feel" her change. (her fingers grasping tighter, or something like that).

the last two problem usually ends up with tweaks in the texts/additional renders after several days of playing the scene over and over again lol :D

ah, ero renders, right:D sure, i got some too :D

thanks for the suggestion 0_0b

beautiful art, but i dont understand lol
Thanks destrendi :D

yeah, the story can be confusing i guess because its told from a pov character with a very little knowledge at the time. if the story is told from an omnisicient, 3rd person pov, the story would be more easily understood, but i think it would also be boring :D its something that i have difficulty balancing :D

while i'm here, here's some more of my weekly "for fun" renders :D
