I still have a hard time trying to understand the walkthrough for a romance with Des with the site you gave sorry.

First to be sure I picked the 'looking for romance' in the beginning. I also always choose Viv to be dominant.
I didn't help Eve. I don't want to have to deal with Ms Harper because of Eve.
I think you have to be nice to her and support her. But the important part is to not to let her sleep over! Even Tara mentioned it at the salon.
However do invite her to the party.
Yes, you have to 'sell the kiss' when Viv meets Des when they go shopping to have a romantic relationship with Des. The middle option probably does nothing and the last one is for the dominant route.
Might probably ask about Tara about Des to tell the game that Viv is really interested in her. But the important parts are the kiss and the sleep over.
At the party to avoid trouble first choose to dance with Des. Viv can dance as close to Des as you want. Then go to the bar. Becca greets them there and Malina tries to be annoying. Reject Becca and stay with Des. Enjoy a couple of drinks with Des and at the end definitely go with her. You wouldn't want to miss a scene with her, right?
After the party when Viv goes to meet Des at the art studio it doesn't matter if you accept Eve's invitation to the sorority party as it's incomplete anyway.
Feel free to have Viv be a model for Des, you won't see the result on the romance route anyway. Mind you, Des paints Viv differently depending on the kind of relationship they have. Enjoy another hot scene at the dorm.
Few days pass and Des doesn't call or message Viv so she decides to pay her a visit. If you've done things right, the final choice for Viv is to confess her feelings to Des. Des will finally be serious for a long enough time to listen to Viv and not dismiss her outright.
The end.

Well not really, but you have reached Desiree's best ending.
If you accepted Eve's invitation, go see the party. There are a couple of hot scenes. I recommend looking for the girl with the white crop top and black hair. Her scene is quite hot. Viv can have fun with Ms Harper too, but her scene isn't as hot.
No matter what you do, probably the last scene is Viv going to a date with Ms Harper. I didn't bother with it, so I can't say for certain. I think it's because the game wasn't finished and the last part is bugged. Even if the original edition was left unfinished, we at least got a good ending with Des.

I amended my post. But there is one last important thing. Have sex! I found this when I looked at the script. Because there are different ways to get to her dorm in the end but without having sex with Des and being on her romantic route they won't even get to talk about it and the final choice 'it meant something for me' won't show up.
Frankly, I didn't even think about it as Viv would have sex with Des anyway in my playthrough.

I wanted to play the latest version I could find as to get the most of the old edition. And the latest version I found was 0.5.42.b.
I wonder why it's not available here, but I don't think there would be any significant differences. It should be mostly bug fixes.
How far did you get?
There are a lot of variations depending on some variables in the scripts, but the important one is dessex. It depends on whether or not Viv had sex with Des after her first art room session.

As I hate when a text box obstructs the view, I'm using a script in Renpy vn that allows you to adjust it's transparency. It's also been updated to the latest Renpy version 8.37 (I played it in Joiplay on my tablet and I kinda messed up the renpy plugins. So to be able to open the saves from the tablet on my pc I had to replace the renpy files with a new version. )
And if you are really desperate, I have attached a save file at the ending.

There are a few ways. You can not help Eva, and then then let her get her well deserved fate and refuse a regular date with Harper, you can consitently lie throughout earlier sections of the game (ie always pick lie options), then when Harper confronts you, you can just lie your way out of it, or if you are dominant, you can help Eva, and the tell Harper to fuck off.

If you mean after you had your happy end with Des, it always triggered. I ignored Ms Harper, was on the Desiree's romantic route, dominant, casual, went to Eva's party, it always occurred. But by that point you have reached the end of content and I think that part is bugged. I didn't continue playing afterwards, as I didn't care. So I don't know what and if anything happens after Harper's date.

Yes! By remaking the game.
The old game wasn't finished. Bwg is now remaking it with better graphics and more streamlined plot lines, as the original was getting quite convoluted and difficult to manage that's why there was slow progress on it. Now we are on version 0.41 of the new edition. We era now in the early stage up to meeting Ms Harper and getting her offer. Work on 0.51 is still ongoing.

This should bring everything up to the party with Rebecca which will be the next update.

The absents was not intentional but this kicked my butt for some weird reason, and I just took the I have to buckle down and do it approach.

I have most of the next MLS update written, I just need to do the renders. Meanwhile I will start writing the party for DDoS. I have most of this month off from work so with any luck I will make some good progress.
