So i have some updates about me and the game. It shouldn't be hard to miss that I have been radio silent. This is thanks to my motherboard dying on me as i was in the middle of rolling out chapter 1. As of posting this, I am back up and running.

The main reason for my silence is that I didn't want to make it seem like I was asking for a handout as I already had the money to get the replacement/upgrades. It was just a matter of getting it. That and so I wouldn't have to give constant updates on my situation as I find new nuggets of trouble, such as the hard drive I was using to hold all the models, scenes also failing on me, so now I have to go and remake all of that.

Dogmonic isn't canceled, But the release of chapter 2 will be pushed back a bit, by how much I can't say. Given that I had initially set a 2-month window for each release with it being reduced to a month when the patreon goal was reached.

As for the beastality question, I'm on the fence about it. Mainly because i don't care for it one way or another. That said, if I do it. I will need to do something to keep both patreon and those who want it happy.

As for right now, I'm back to working on this game and few other projects that were supposed to come out alongside it.

TLDR

I have to redo all my assets which will cause some kind of a delay for Dogmonic chapter 2
I haven't decided yay or nay to beastality yet.

The easiest method would be to make a patch (I've seen games that literally just check to see if there is a file named "patch" that can just be blank, and if it's not there that content just doesn't happen) and then just NEVER talk about the beastiality on the patreon.

On the subject of actually including it, I mean, how you gonna make the MC a dog and then not have him fuck? I know he probably switches bodies or something and is possessing the monsters; I haven't played yet was reading the thread before I d/led. But, what I mean is, you advertise your mc is a dog, people show up expecting dog sex.

After reading the synopsis, I'm intrigued by this game and its plot. I'll try it, but what are/will be the game's core fetishes? It seems to me that Beastiality will be the leading fetish since the MC is a dog. Any other fetishes planned?

To be fair, I think I've only ever seen one other game on this site whose sole focus was voyeurism, and the description for that one implied it was going to eventually transition from stalking to something more active. Usually it's just sprinkled on top of any other game for a little extra flavor.

ShamanLab So the game is just straight-out voyeurism without any Beastiality? Normally, voyeurism is like a cherry on top of an already solid game foundation. The game's called "Dogmonic," why not make Beastiality one of the leading fetishes and mix in some voyeurism here and there for some extra spice? Solely focusing on just one particular niche fetish isn't good for the longevity of a game; it's all about variety and a good mix of complementary fetishes, like breeding, impregnation, mind-breaking, corruption, etc. It's a fantasy game, so there are no limits in the choice of kinks.

On the other hand, it explains why Patreon hasn't thrown a hissy-fit already because there's no Beastiality in this game. By the way, ErosOlympian, if you decide to include beast content, never, literally NEVER, call it Beastiality on Patreon! Call it "Animal Friendship," or "PETA friendly content." etc. A patch provided on a third-party website would circumvent that problem. It's the same with games containing incest content.

Honestly, this game has everything it needs to be good; Fantasy setting, check; non-human?/canine MC, check; interesting plot, check; Also, the summary reminds me a lot of Ravager by 4MiniuteWarning. There you play as a dragon instead of a dog, who was ousted from his castle, fleeing, trying to survive, and while doing that, he gets stronger so he can retake what's his. Along the way, the dragon fucks and breeds everyone and everything. A similar approach or game mechanic would be appreciated in "Dogmonic."
