And what the fuck is up with the whole Japanese locale workaround. I dont understand why I need to trick a game into thinking I live in Japan to play it.

Those game that need Japanese locals are games that was not licensed and shift to other countries only available to be played in Japan.

Exactly, most of the J-Eroges with locale issues are FAN MADE translations, that means, the game itself is not mean to be played outside japan.. btw i love them because they are completed (most of them) so i dont have to wait years to see a ending or even worst, pray for the game not be abandoned and about translation issues... Great game all things considered. Sure it's a Japanese VN, and super linear, and unfinished (translation)... but compared to all the other unfinished games on here; it has a shitload of content.

Muv Luv, Fate/Stay Night, Kamidori Alchemy Meister (with nice gameplay), Utawarerumono (nice gameplay too), Rance Series... I've come to like games and earnestly learning english because of these "crappy Japanime" games back in 1999...

It is sad to see an unfinished VN that may never see its completion to the audience outside of Japan. A fate that some VN have met and they never deserved. Will try this one, thoug from the description it sounds more the part of a Nukige than an actuall VN to me. But who know, perhaps the story is decent enough to change my mind.

Anyone else getting an error message when trying to run the reg.exe or is it just me? I thought it was an issue with the game folder's name because I changed it so it doesn't use Japanese characters, but then reinstalling it without change still had the same thing. Event trying to run reg.exe in Japanese locale as admin isn't working.

I really liked the h-anime and so wanna play this as well. Even moreso now that pretty much all of new Japanese games/VNs coming out recently are generic rape/gangbang/ntr cuck garbage. I needs me some hot harem where the male main character is dominant without being an asshole.

Saya no Uta is great even if you removed all the porn.

Divi-Dead is also a great game with good porn while pulling off a dark theme. Games on this site would never pull that off.

Kara no Shoujo is also a dark one with good story and cg.

In general, "Japanese games" are quite good at combining an actual plot with porn. I have yet to see that on 3dcg games.

No idea what to say I haven't had a single problem with it and I haven't got Japanese locale on this pc setup yet it might just be how you installed it?

It really depends on the game. There are a lot of great games like the one's you've listed. But there's also a lot of trash with terrible story lines and sex scenes that drag on for an eternity, that only have their art as their only redeeming quality.

In fact, there's way more trash than there are legitimately good games. But most of the trash doesn't get translated.

edit: Not that I'm saying the Japanese scene is particularly bad. Just that it's just as bloated with crap as the western adult game market.
