Aaah! It's his OTHER fanbox. That's why I was confused. It's too grim for me anyway...

I just found out this and yeah, kinda sad there wouldnt be any more updates, that being said, is there a general MindControl/Hypnosis thread where people can share or recomend creators and artists that focus on MC?

There is , but here you will have better luck searching for specific terms or games. There is just too many to make a general thread in my opinion.

As a side, personal note, this dev always had the problem of mixing too much unnecesary gameplay with the story. Who really needed such a complex crafting and leveling system in a Hrpg? Who asked for that much upgrades on the MC powers when you wouldnt use most of them? At least someone could take a lesson out of this, about focusing your game and not just throwing everything at it.

Man, seems like a lot of games I've been getting into recently just get abandoned. Milky Tides was the most recent one and after finishing Dollhouse District it sucks to see this one got abandoned too, I wouldn't have played it had I known the sequel was abandoned already. Should've done my due diligence a couple days ago and at least take a look at this thread before playing the first one. Waste of time.

Check out his fanbox, he is working in a new game, very different from this one but with the same topics (and far less useless mechanics)

Yeah I checked it out but I'm not sure if I'm willing to give this dev another shot. I understand the appeal for this somewhat niche genre of game but I don't think I'll get invested this time since devs abandoning projects rubs me the wrong way, I get why they do it sometimes but as a consumer I hate it. Glad I caught the tail end of this game's lifespan because I'd be even more annoyed if I was along for the ride throughout the whole year. Maybe I'll check on it in a year or two if it gets finished. His renders improved a lot since the first game though which was cool to see.

I respectfully disagree. Dollhouse's games can be enjoyed as a standalone contained stories. And I think there is a small chance the whole series gets a reboot at some point in the future.

Meanwhile here are some links people might like from the creator's fanbox (click for google drive download):
- latest and unstable version of the game Dollhouse Rising
- a new game in the very same series

I understand that, the idea of a standalone story is appealing but not if it gets cut short abruptly, it's just not satisfying to me. Does this sequel have some sort of ending? I see he does these kind of alternate stories on his fanbox but I don't really have any interest in that (especially at that price point).
