This is pretty much what I feel with all the conflicts in the game. The conflict is there, but I don't quite see why. For example, we can see Kings vs Rebels conflict. But why exactly? We've only been shown that Kings hang around at the beach during the day while Rebels hang around at night. They don't even really see each other. Same with the Rex/daddy vs MC. There is no real reason as to why they try to sabotage MC at all. MC will just be another lifeguard that doesn't change the fact that Rex is still a lifeguard (he still gets girls, daddy still gets good PR with or without MC being a lifeguard).
I feel like the writing is not as good as BARS because of the type of conflict. BARS is a fairly personal story revolving around MC (wanting to be a rockstar and how it affects his relationship with his family). Domino Beach has the MC basically just as a random character that got injected into the existing plot. Unfortunately, he felt like he didn't quite fit into the plot.

the guy suck as a lifeguard, and if his daddy is oh so influential it would make sense for him to try expensive clubs and bars there would be plenty of girls there then a beach where nobody actually gives a shit about a lifeguard, I mean from a visitor's perspective who would wanna know about a lifeguard especially if he's not even doing his job properly and just hitting on girls left right centre.
it was so childish and hilarious when he ganged up on MC from behind and during the tryouts got scared after MC stood up for fiona that was just laughable.

i just remembered why rex's dad looks familiar or something cuz his face looks that of dried-in-the-sun wukong, its just so unlike human and doesn't suit his build at all, I don't know if that was intentional given that he's an asshole.

Same thing as Mr. Dots, pick your fave and stay true or expect a bad ending! So much eye candy, that like Pokemon, you'll wanna collect them all, but its at your peril! By the time you figure that out you'll have been playing this for 2 years or so and not want to bother going back and playing 8 individual routes from the start...
