Hey everyone! Here is the latest news.

I apologize once again for the long silence. The game has not been abandoned, work on the Episode 3 is in full swing. To be honest, I wanted to release it before the end of last year, but, as you know, I overestimated my capabilities as usual. Then, I planned to get back to work right on January 2nd, but I got a little lazy and didn't start until the 7th.

So, here is where we stand: all renders for Episode 3 are completely finished. Right now, I’m working on animations and handling post-processing. After that, I’ll put everything together and test it. I might need to tweak a few renders here and there, but overall, the heavy lifting is done. I know my promises might not sound very convincing right now, but I’m going to do my absolute best to finish the episode by the end of January.

I don’t know if you noticed, but billing has been paused since late October, and it will remain paused until the episode is released. I wanted to relieve some of the pressure on myself this way, though it didn't help much. I’m still fully aware that I’ve dragged this out too long, so I’m still working under a bit of stress.

So, what’s done besides the renders?

  • WaveGram: I’ve inserted 16 posts with comments into the first two episodes, complete with response choices (I’ll attach screenshots so you can see how it looks).

Messenger: I added a few messenger interactions (just 3 or 4 instances).

Translation: I improved the translation for Episode 1; it feels much livelier now, in my opinion.
  • New Content: I added a small scene with Riley during her massage, so there are now two variations of that scene (though I think I may have mentioned this already).
Episode 3 will be the "finale" of the introduction, so to speak. It’s one big prologue where the MC becomes a lifeguard, finds his place, and builds friendships with the characters around him. Future episodes will feature him fully established in his role as a lifeguard.

I’m attaching a couple of new screenshots, and then I’m heading back to work on post-processing.

Thanks for not forgetting about me!

It's all good. i just "discovered" the game this week, and enjoyed it very much. While I may grumble about having to wait for updates, I'd rather wait then end up getting something sub-par.

Ah.. the typical "Then, I planned to get back to work right on January 2nd, but I got a little lazy and didn't start until the 7th." This shit even hits me hard in life lmao, like I plan to be the most hardworking bastard to exist on this planet and then all of a sudden I'm on the second month of the new year bro and haven't done anything significant. I wish the best for the creator because idk if that shit depression or life just said not today you little shit.

Yeah, I get it as well. Although this year, it's been the first two weeks of January to get me straightened out. The WHOLE of December was a lost month for me. Went down the befinning of Dec from illness, took two bloody weeks before I could have surgery, and the second half of Dec to actually recover, though it's only been the last day or three that I finally feel like myself. Couldn't even do any writing in Dec, and as far as even eating....I think I had a total of maybe a dozen meals total in Dec. I survived on fruit juice.

So I give anybody allowances to recover at the end of ANY year. I think even normal every day life boils up at you at the end of the year, when it's normal to take stock on how things went the previous year. And it's human nature to see the downs more than the ups come year end.

It's such an odd thing for humans to seek the bad before they've seen all the good they've achieved in their lives unfortunately. I hope you're doing well now friend, it took me a couple of books to understand that sometimes its best to portray ourselves as a fly and look back at ourselves to understand that we're doing just fine.

Shit could happen at any time of the year. To nail it down to any particular time of the year is, to be polite, naïve.

Except that the Christmas/New Year's/holiday season time is bad for depression. Always has been. And with everyone telling you it's a happy time of year just makes it worse. So no, in many regards, statistically, it is a rougher time for some people than other times of the year
