It's been a long time coming but the prologue/demo is finally "done"! Mostly. The renders still need to be updated and there are some detail things that will eventually be added, but everything that needs to be done is done. Let's hope for no bugs! I'll take a few days to relax, maybe get in some Cyberpunk 2077, then get back to rendering and start up Chapter 1!

Daz Stuffs:
For various reasons, I'm probably going to change Dope's model. I'm going to try a few more things to get tattoos to work but if I can't get them to play nicely, new model. Outside of that, it'll be rendering as usual.

MZ Stuffs:
With the demo/prologue done, as I've said before, future updates will be patron only for the time being. I want to focus on building back up the player base and designing a game that's fun for people to play. Until that base is built, I'll just keep devolving the game and hope people like what I do and eventually decide to support. I'll still be posting regular public status updates though.
Dev wise, I'm going to continue the main story up to the point where it can branch out, then I have several things I could work on such as:
  • Photography/Pornstar Jobs: Now built into the MQ and will be expansive. Lots planned for this. Especially the pornstar job... career really. But photography will be fun too!
  • Character Side Quests: Dope needs a squad for his Porn Empire. Get to recruiting. What? You though they was just gon buss it down, on camera, because you asked, possibly nicely? HAH!!!
  • Life/Date Sim Stuff: Sometimes you just want to slow things down and spend time with a friend, I've got your back. Or rather, the various heroines in the game will. Maybe.
  • More MQ stuffs: The marathon continues and there will always be more MQ stuff to do, until there isn't... But the game isn't over yet, so, I got that work!
  • Non Porn Job stuffs: That's a thing? Oh yes! Between patrolling the town for wandering demons, working with the mysterious FBO, and working for the 5-0, among others, Dope is quite gainfully employed!
I'll make a poll to see what I end up doing. The first poll will be public since I'm not sure how I want to go about either staying on Patreon or looking into SubscribeStar or kofi... I want as many people to vote on it as possible to hopefully give me a good direction to start in, but after that, polls, and the game updates themselves, will only be available for supports under whichever service I'm using. I'll make an independent post about that later.
Alright, but that's future stuff, what about now, what's in this update? Honestly, I'm not 100% sure but this is close enough...
V0.05 Changelog:
  • Added new flashback event. No idea on the word count, but it's a lot!
  • Finished Prologue/Demo: Added the Temple of Lust, new Classes and Jobs (Subclasses).
  • Changed how some enemies that chase the player behave when the player escapes battle.
  • Stuff I can't remember and not going to try to manufacture to pad the changelog. The amount of work that went into the first two bullets is enough.

I feel like I may be missing something and there may be other things I could say, but honestly, I just want people to try the game and enjoy it. Maybe drop some feedback. This will be the last update for the year, excluding bug fixes and render releases, but I like the way things are setup for next year! I'll continue with regular weekly, maybe not this week since this kind of counts, updates, but that's enough for now! Stay blessed and I hope you enjoy the update!

Edit: Added a hotfix for some issues I came across when playing a new save. Just delete the old "data" folder and replace with the new one.

I mean, I appreciate the uploads and what not but nobody here, for the most part, is going to play this releases. The demo/prologue gameplay/story is done, but the new renders for the story/scenes aren't in the game yet. Until a few of the prologue scenes have their renders, I don't expect people to try this game again.

I've been posting on Patreon more for record keeping and idea placeholding purposes more than anything. That and to let people know that the game IS still being developed. Despite people claiming to support "development" most people really only support "production", as in renders. I get it. I could've left the game a buggy mess but continued to pump out renders and would probably still have some type of support for the game today. But because I chose to focus on fixing the game as opposed to just keep cranking out renders, people abandoned it. At least in my eyes, hence the tag.

So really, I'm posting so that when my game does start stacking renders, which it will soon. And should people come back and support the game, which I hope they do. I don't want nobody popping up like "I was riding with you all along", because no the fuck you weren't. This game would be dead if I didn't believe in it or enjoy making it. If this game ever makes it anywhere or is completed, it's not because of outside support, it's because I continued to developed the game over time despite essentially 0 interest in it from the public. If people start to support it once the renders are there to fill in the content; great, I appreciate the support. Just don't act like you were my A1 from day 1. If you don't want to support the game even with the renders, that's cool too, I'm still going to keep developing the game. Cheers!

Hey I can't get through the Elevator after talking to Maryjane about the necklace...
I changed some things about that quest which led to an issue that I though I fixed. I'll look at the event to see if I forgot to fix it.

Edit: I just played through it and I didn't run into any issues preventing me from proceeding. I did notice that when looking at the messages from Billy and Jessica the phone menu and dialogue can overlap so maybe that might be causing something. I'll fix that, but for now try holding page down to to fast skip the text in that part as opposed to hitting enter/space.
I know this been an old posy but has this question been answered yet?
Rendered out? The old scene with the sisters is in the game, but it doesn't match the new dialogue/scene so if you were to play it now the renders would be off, way off... (The scene is super hot though, or will be once I render it) There is a scene with the mom in the beginning of Chapter 1, but I won't spoil the surprise in how that plays out. (It's not vaginal, you still have some work to do to get to that) The game is very incest heavy and it's written in a way that Patreon can't get pissed about. Or at least I'll be putting that theory to the test... Gameplay wise, the game has more or less caught up with the MV (original) version. I'm working on rerendering all the scenes now, about... 20% done with the museum scene, when those are done I'll have a poll to decide what part of the game to focus on first for Chapter 1. The game will also heavily feature pregnancy, although I'm not sure how much preggo content I'll put in there, but the MC is gonna have a lot of kids. Some will be actual characters that you get to name, but most will be purely statistical.

Sometimes you have to use the space to "activate" an exit or a map change. Sometimes you can just walk through.

But here you have to stay in front of the elevator and press the space bar. At least it worked for me.

I had some issues before the temple of lust, if I put both sister into the party I couldn't proceed with the opening of the next map.
Maybe it helps if you stuck being the house at the end of v0.5

I'm not sure what your issue is. Ideally you shouldn't be stuck anywhere.

GAH! I'm trying this game. I used the "data" library hakulaku uploaded. I'm now stuck at the corner club trying to win the whiskey.
When I've answered 4 questions I end up back at the prompt "sure, why not / something else /damn no time". If I then try to take the quiz again I get this error (see image) billede_2024-01-05_224931164.png

Not gonna lie. I normally give him the stash so I legit missed this bug completely. I thought everything was working fine after the transfer, clearly it isn't. Heh. I'll fix this. But yeah, just give him the stash and hopefully you have a snackers, if you can't get back to the museum get one from one of the people at a kiosk on the street. I think they sell em too. Otherwise, when you get to the part where you have to collect fairy dust make sure to pick up the honeycomb from the tree on the last map after you've gotten 8 dust. If you don't, the bear will kill you.

I've been playing the update a bit on and off. There are a couple of spots where you have to play "Guess what the creator was thinking" but I've managed to figure it out until now.
In the museum when picking up the necklace I got a weird message about what I was doing unless I approached the upper right corner from the north.
When finding the dad's books I was looking at the walkthrough and it says left wall ... I'd call the spot I found the RIGHT wall. Again I think a little less clutter and get rid of the dark clouds over the area would help.

This time I'm stuck tho. I've just entered the temple in the center of the forrest, and movement doesn't seem to be re-enabled after entering.
Save attached from right outside the temple.

When picking the necklace up, that's intended. You have to stand on that spot, that's why there's an undulating circle there. Or at least should be... (Was there?) You also need to be facing down as it makes no sense to be facing any other direction since that's the way the case is. The game is meant to be played with a keyboard and mouse, so if you're relying on touchscreen or mouse clicking solely, shit will get frustrating because some events need you to be in a specific spot facing a specific direction. Auto-pathing might not put you in the right place. I may make a mobile version where that's tailored for touchscreens/mouse clicking. I also plan on bringing the Ren'MV version back, or Ren'MZ version, as the plugins I have access to now make it stupid easy to make a visual novel style game in RPG maker. Well, minus the rollback.

The books in the basement are definitely on the right wall, that's a typo in the walkthru. I'll fix that when I update it.

Dark clouds in what area?

That map was having some lag issues due to how I was hiding certain sections of it. I couldn't figure out how to stop the lag while hiding those areas so I made another version for when those areas aren't hidden and that map has no lag. I might've crossed some things up since that was a new impromptu change. I'll check it out, should be a simple fix.

The elevator at the Chronic Tower has also been fixed. That said, I updated the item table and I'm going back and making sure all quests give/link to the correct items and the mobs drop the right loot. I should finish that up tomorrow (today). And I might put out a hotfix with the fixes, or, just fix that save. The museum scene, first story scene, for the prologue is about 40% done so I might just wait until that's finished before pushing out hotfix/update.

Honestly, I'll most likely just fix the save since you're actually playing and finding bugs that I need to fix. Bugs and apparent darkness aside, how has the game been? Does the story make (more) sense? Is there too much walking? I know the enemies aren't balanced so I'm not stressing that atm, but have the mechanics been straight forward? Have you tried out chatting with either Blaze or Fire?

Playstyle: I do play with mouse and keyboard, but I was mostly clicking places with the mouse which may be the reason I'm missing things here and there.

When picking the necklace up, that's intended.
I was in the correct position. Not sure what I did wrong. I think I might have been trying to click the display south of the glowing "ball" ..

Dark clouds in what area?
The hall in front of the dad's "secret office" / meditading spot. looked to me like the background clouds were making shadows. ... it might just be me that likes when the visual clues are more obvious.

... but have the mechanics been straight forward? Have you tried out chatting with either Blaze or Fire?
Most mechanics seem to be fairly easy to comprehend. It's mostly the odd door here or there behaving weirdly. I haven't tried the chat functions too much this time around. It only came to mind to try it after the last time I'd picked then up into my party, and then you can only chat to fire, since blaze was right behind me. I'd have to turn around without moving to chat to her (which I'm sure there is a way to do, but if there is I've forgotten how).

I move almost exclusively with the arrow/WASD keys so I honestly don't have much experience with auto pathing outside of clicking around for fun. I'll try and make players be more aware of this issue.

Ah, that cave is actually a little dark. I might lighten it up or give a better visual indicator as to where the hidden passage is for the meditation room.

You can turn in place by holding down the ctrl key, or, you can use the "T" or "C" I forget which, hotkey to open the chat menu and pick the person in your party you want to chat with.

Edit: Like I thought, I'm an idiot. :HideThePain: When I added the hotfix I didn't include the maps with it. In my defense, the map changes weren't meant to be part of the hotfix and was just something I decided to do at the time and it got rolled into it. That said, here's a data folder with the added maps. Just paste and overwrite and you should be fine. Ironically, I didn't include the fix in the Chronic Tower since that map isn't included... Did you notice any other doors misbehaving?

I don't remember which one it was, but I managed to pass straight through one without changing maps. Went back and tried again and it worked fine so ....
I'll see if I can make a speedrun and try to notice which ones I find weird.

Other then that I think it's just that some doors (when mouse navigating ... darn NLT media has given me bad habits I guess ... ) you can click on the door in front of you, while others you have to click on the square where Dope stops ...

True. Sometimes it's the door and sometimes it's the space in front of the door, as you say. The game really isn't optimized for mouse play. That said, since people use the mouse and I do plan on making a mobile version of this, I can go back and make a "mouse mode" or whatever I end up calling it, that the player can toggle that's more suited for mouse/touchscreen movement.

I'm currently updating the enemy drop tables because I updated the item table, then I need to finish checking the story events to make sure any items involved link to the right stuff. But after that I can go about working on the "mouse mode". It shouldn't be that hard... probably.
