downloaded chapter 19im having an issue when after i press start it says "we are having trouble downloading all the assets, check internet connection and whatever"...stucks at 0%

Questions - Why would a VN need to be played online, and why would a Save not transfer from one chapter to the next? How can you transfer your progress if a Save will not transfer?

I keep getting a “We are having trouble downloading all the needed assets. Please check your Internet connection” message for the offline episodes.
What is the point of making 19 files to download and extract when the total is "only" 4,6Gb?

Just checked the online version and I had played episode 19 exactly 13 months ago lmao. Kinda sad that I got excited for nothing because I really didn't enjoy the last few episodes of this compared to earlier ones, and the endings sucked.
I wish we could have had a couple people give feedback before updating the thread so that we didn't have so many people run into problems.
Alas, I'm suspecting that those with issues have the "Download system" setting set to "At startup" which I didn't even know was a thing until a couple of minutes ago. It's difficult to diagnose these issues because of shared caches between chrome and electron.

The main writer, Palmer, passed away before the last few episodes of Double Homework were released. His "team" decided to take over the rest of the work to finish the story. They did a heck of a job at it too. Their work has been great.
But, they then placed those last few episodes behind a paywall. This was several years ago already, as this game is one of the first I played and got me hooked on redheads in games.
The team continued on and has made new stories, but continue to paywall those games after the first several episodes as well.
