Well, yes and no. As with all the characters, you have the option of bypassing any possible sex. So you can turn on Lola's content and not have sex with her. But without giving away too much, you basically have the option of getting what you need through a little heart felt romance, or you can straight up strong arm her. So you can play through Lola's content without having sex with her, but it will still be a bit of a different story than if you love up on her.
Actually, mod that a bit. I think there is a way to get what you need without fucking her and without being a total dick bag. I forgot that track. Anyway, yes, you can play through her story without having sex. Or even seeing a dick.

cool thanks for the reply roman, just looking for games with transgenders and having a hard time, and sent me here from the search bar so just thought i would ask
For sure. We decided late in the game to have a trans character at all, but we got the sense there was a lack of that in many popular games, so we wanted to do something different.
While our goal of course is to get as much support for our game as we can, and including Lola is geared to draw in some new players that are specifically looking for that content, we are treating it very serious. Lola isn't just for decoration or crowd pleasing. We treated her with the same level of respect and care that we do all our characters. And who knows, if it turns out she becomes wildly popular, we might do more with her in the future.
But I want people to be surprised and pleased with how tastefully and realistically we handle the character. When we chose to add her to the game, I wanted avoid her just being a sex toy or a stereotype. So I'm very eager to get this next update done and start getting feedback on her. Knowing the popular opinion regarding the character will help us write more compelling stories for her in her subsequent updates.

Every time we have a poll, Monica gets zero votes. We know she's always been the least favorite character.
How would people feel if we demoted her to secondary love interest. In other words, instead of having a story spanning plot, she gets dropped down to a part time fuck that has a story that plays out in four or five scenes?

I must admit that for now, she seems the weakest of all love interests. If it means less work for you and more content for other girls, then the "demotion" is fine by me. But it sounds like it would be more interesting to hear from her fans about what they like about her.

I guess what is important is do you still want to write a long spanning story for Monica? Will this improve time management?

Hadn't even realized she was going to be a main LI. I mean I skipped her entirely, so I didn't really expect to see her again anyway.

I for one would rather see one of D's girlfriends dropped from main LI status, all those small-breasted pseudo-lolis aren't doing that much for me.
I prefer a voluptous, tall and strong black woman by far.
Also, it would be completely unfair if you had a Latina, an Asian Lady and no Black one.

Something that was brought to my attention in conversation with the community that I had failed to consider, is that a large number of current players only know her from the single scene in the current game. Not everyone played the alpha and got to sample more of her personality or what her story can bring.
So realizing that a lot of players really don't know who she is yet, I've come to feel that cutting her would be unfair.
Fear not, Monica stays and we're going to push ahead to finish with the characters we started.
